He checked his phone again. Still there was no notification from her. He'd been waiting since past two hours, along with three of his friends. Vicky, Swayam and Nilesh had been super excited about the whole affair. After all, it isn't everyday that you get to see whom Reyaansh Singhania has been dating and concealing the matter blushingly.
That was it. The heart-throb of St. Louis had broken up with the hottest chic of the college, as he had his eyes set on someone else. She had, obviously made a great fuss out of it. Hence the news spread like fire across the college, and Rey was confronted by three of his best buddies. And he unwillingly promised them to call her to meet them.
Thus, they'd decided upon a Sunday matinee at Rey's place. Suddenly the door bell rang. Rey sighed with relief, as he rushed up to the gate.
As the door slid open, his breath hitched. Her milky white skin was in full display due to the off-sleeves floral pink frock that ended right above her knees. Her usual soft curls were replaced by flawlessly straight strands, gliding across her shoulders. Her charcoal-black eyes, which were always veiled by colossal round-rimmed spectacles, were now kohled and twinkled freely. Her bud-like pink lips had put the world's cutest curve upon them.
"May I come in?" Her voice sounded much huskier than what was audible over the phone.
He felt things hardening when her teeth peeped in through her parted buds, as she spoke.
"Dude, let her come in at least!" Swayam called out in a teasing tone, bringing Rey back to his senses.
"Ohh yeah sure!" He spoke in a hurry, and shifted on a side to allow her enter.
She brushed past his torso as he inhaled lungs-full of her scent. He could swear that it was the sweetest smell, he'd ever drawn in. He knew just at the moment, that he was going to have a really tough time with her about his house. At the same time, he was revealed because he was sure that everything would go smooth - now that she'd arrived like this.
She walked upto the couches where the three boys sat.
"Hello guys!" She chirped and turn wise hi-fived each of them.
By the time, Rey came in as well.
"Guys, she is Kria. We met on facebook, and have been dating since five months."
All three gasped and then laughed.
"Gosh! You got to have guts to fool the hottest chic for total five months. Good job, Rey!" Nil said, and all broke out laughing.
The movie was a sci-fi, as Rey had told them that she liked boyish genres. And she did enjoy the movie as much as they did.
At about 3 o'clock, the movie had ended. They chit-chatted for a while and then Swayam and Nilesh took their leave. Vicky stayed a bit longer, and then left till 5 of the evening.
As soon as Rey returned after seeing them off, Kria spoke up.
"Your friends are good too."
He smiled at her and sat on the carpeted floor, maintaining a safe distance from her. He looked into her gorgeous eyes, and spoke in a husky voice.
"Thank you Kria. No one else could have done this."
She stifled a gasp in time.
"Umm... It's alright Rey. What are friends for?"
He again smiled at her cuteness.
"So... I guess you remember that they've planned to reveal you before the college." He said, as a few worry lines developed on his forehead.
"Don't worry. I've everything held up in my brain." She chuckled.
Ohh her voice! So, so melodious that he felt like eating it up. If that would have been possible!

It had been extremely tough for her to take sleep peacefully, when she knew that he was in just the adjacent room. She had nowhere to go in that alien city, so she decided to stay at Rey's place instead of renting a hotel room.
She got up from her over-disturbed and least comfortable sleep, as he knocked at her door. Springing up from the bed, she checked herself in the mirror. She'd worn a shaggy loose T-shirt with tiny shorts and her hair seemed as if she'd played a wrestling match, moments ago. Horrible, was all she could contemplate of her look.
"I'm coming!" Rey called out in a cheerful voice.
And before she could react, he clicked the door open. She looked all over him, and compressed a gasp. He'd worn beige colored baggy pants and a black vest. His face seemed rugged. Maybe it was 2-days unshaven.
She was still busy gawking at him, when a crooked smile broke through his face.
"Good morning Kria. You look cute!" He spoke and left.
She stood thinking. But, checking the watch, decided to continue in the washroom.

They'd had a quite peaceful drive, upto the college. But, as soon as his green colored Scorpio crossed the threshold, full compound turned chaotic. There were gossips, shocked gasps, giggles screeches and all sorts of awkward things around. She looked hesitantly at him.
"Does this happen every day?"
He chuckled. So, she was curious after all!
"No. They're just excited to see the girl who made me dump the hottest chic of the college." He lied.
They both looked at each other for a few seconds, and then burst out laughing.
There was a knock at Kria's window. It was Vicky. She quickly stepped out form the car, and gave him a hug.
"How are you?" He hugged her back.
Rey tried behaving normal. But couldn't. There was this pang of jealousy that he couldn't avoid. Moreover, Vicky's such gesture was an alarm. Of an upcoming threat.
"Yo Guys!" Nilesh and Simmi hi-fived Vicky and Kria.
"Hmm... So she's the princess. Not bad Rey!" Simi teased, as Rey too exited the car.
"Guys where's Swayam?" He asked, not finding him around.
"Swayam and Sharon are waiting for you both in the canteen." Nil answered.
"Come on Kria, let's go." Simmi and Nilesh took her inside the college. A frustrated Rey was left with Vicky to coax.
As soon as Rey looked over to Vicky, he spoke up.
"Why did you lie to us?"
Rey was taken aback. And all his frustration seemed to be overtaken by subtle fear.
"Wh... What? What did I lie about?"
He tried seeming confused, but miserably failed.
"You very well know how weak you are at acting! So kindly stop trying, and spill it." Vicky commanded.
Rey gulped as he realized that his secret was out and he could fool no more. He tried in a feeble tone.
"Actually yes. I'd lied to everyone."
"Hang on! I know you did. You were badly fed up of that stupid girl, and so you made this idiotic story of getting yourself a new girlfriend. Isn't it?" He spoke, as anger sprinkled from his voice.
"Yeaa. That's true. I did meet Kria on facebook, but we've been friends and only friends since 4 years. When I discussed about my problem with her, she proposed this plan. And I clubbed in her for the same. Thus, she travelled all the way form Chandigarh to Mumbai, in order to help me. She's a good friend, and nothing more." Rey was hardly able to speak.
"I so knew it! Reyaansh Singhania can never fall head over heels for someone, such that he isn't able to speak properly!" Vicky exclaimed with happiness.
"I am speaking properly, Vicky!" He spoke normally, now seeing him laugh.
"I'm talking about yesterday. When she was around, you'd been behaving so awkwardly that even a kid could make out that you were over-acting!" He again resumed his laughter.
But this made Rey think in the direction he was trying to, since past many days. He very well knew that he didn't try to act, the previous day. Then only one possibility remained... And he need to see her right now!
"Vicky, let's go." He held his hand and dragged him in, all the way to the canteen.
There she was - sitting with his gang, chirping and giggling at their jokes and antics. H looked at her and smiled. He was thus, right.
"Okay guys! Rey's come." Swayam announced as all others hooted, and Kria blushingly, turned to a side. "Rey, we've got you a dare." He continued, "You have to kiss Kria here, in front of all."
By their actions and nods, Rey could make out that all this was being done for some reason. He tried seeming to blush and looked around. And he spotted her - his now turned ex. She sat with two of her favorite chics, and had hr sharp eyes fixed on his every move. So, she wished to check the authenticity of his relation with Kria? If only she knew!
He walked upto Kria. She obediently stood up and nodded in understanding.
"I'll be okay with it, Rey. If this would be a proof for her." She whispered.
He smiled and whispered back, "A request for you. May I?"
She was surprised, and raised her brows.
"Err... Can we be for real?"
She took moments to comprehend, and a smile spread across her face. Tears brimmed in her eyes, as she hugged him tight.
"I love you, Rey! Always did!"
He held her secured and spoke back, "Love you too Kria! Always did, just dawned today!"
The group cheered!
