Veera sat at home alone in her room. The empty room was eating
her but she wanted to be alone, those eyes were haunting her. She
was still trembling from fear of those eyes. Suddenly there was a
knock on the door. She some how gathered the courage to stand up
and open the door. As soon as she opened the door, her eyes
widened with shock, and she forgot to breathe, she became a stone.
Those eyes were again infront of her looking directly into hers and
holding her there...She was motionless until he shook her.
Baldev; raaste se hatte gi?
his voice all playful again not the dangerous one she experienced in
his house in the morning, she nodded and moved to a side. Alot of
men entered her room with lots of boxes in their hands.
Baldev; tere kamre ke waaste kuch saaman layen hen ye log, ziada
kuch nhi bas ek single bed, ek almari, ek dressing table aur ek air
conditioner.
She looked at him with confused innocent looks.
Baldev; smjhi nhi ki? dekh tu mera khilona he aur pind de surpunch
de khilone bhi wade khas honde hen, mera khas khilona esa garmi
me zameen pr soye mujhse dekha nhi jayega.
He pulled her close by holding her from the waist and looked into
her eyes, her face just cms aways from his.
Baldev; bahar chalen, yahan inhe kaam krna he
he pulled her outside the room pinned her to the wall, one hand
holding her waist and the other on the wall.
Baldev; fiqr mat kr bill main hi dunga tera bhikari veer nhi. aur han
is kamre ka saara saman sirf tera he kisi aur ko istimal krte dekha

She was just staring at him blindly, and a tear escaped her eye
without her notice. Baldev caught it just as it escaped her eye.
Baldev; teri aakhon me ye aansu menu bardasht nhi veera! (his voice
was intense again, eyes red again but not dangerous)
He cupped her face in his hand. More tears started coming out of
her eyes
Baldev; dekh tu..tu...tu ro mat veera..
he wiped her tears.
Baldev; oye..oye tu to pind di sherni he na..meri sherni..chal
muskura..tu mujhse naraz he to lad na mujhse maar mujhe pr ro
mat
Veera lowered her eyes and sobbed.
Baldev lifted her face up with his finger and kissed her eyes. His
warm touch gave her electric sparks, she looked at him and her
mouth opened.
Baldev smiled.
Baldev; mun band kr makhi chali jayegi
he left her and went to check on the people who were installing the
stuff in veera's bedroom.
Veera; Rabjee kis mitti se banaya he aapne is munde ko? meri to
kuch smjh nhi a rha ye kya kr rha he
When all the work was done, Baldev came to Veera again and pulled
her close again by holding her waist.
Baldev; ac chalu krdiya he..tab hi band krna jab thand ziada lage.
Aur kisi ko andar mat aane dena ziada der k liye. Tujh pr hamesha
nazren gadi hui hen meri smjhi.
he left her and was leaving but again turned
Baldev; aur han...khel me maza tabhi aata he jb saamne wala taqar

he left leaving veera more confused then ever.

Many rumors spread in the pind, people spoke very ill of veera and
no one talked to ranvi ratan and chaiji.
Ratan; sabzi wala se sabzi lete waqt wo esi gandi shaqal bna rha tha

Bansuri tried all means to get Baldev out of veera's evil eye but
nothing got Baldev's obsession for veera out of his head. She tried
to reason with him that she didn't deserve all what she is getting
but baldev turned bansuri down and left.
Veera was walking on the street, all pind people made faces on
seeing her, she tried to ignore. And then a guy came and hit her
with a stone.
Pind guy; maro is besharm ladki ko hum is jesi ko apne pind ka
naam khrab nhi krne denge maaro.
Many people started hitting her with stones..she ran no stone had
hurt her badly yet and she saw baldev from a distance..she ran and
hugged him hiding her face in his coat.
Baldev; veera..ki hoya tu inni ghabrai hui kyun he?
Veera was shivering.
Veera; baldev wo pind wale..wo menu..wo..pind wale menu pathar
maar rhe hen.
Baldev heard this and now nothing could stop him. All other colors
from his face faded and he got all red in anger. He took a poll and
left. He saw people holding stones in their hands, the stones
dropped as soon as they saw Baldev.
He started hitting people with the poll brutally. He held a man from
his hair
Baldev; meri veera ko khrab kahega tu? meri veera ko pathar

He was so harsh and badly beating them some started bleeding but
he was unstoppable..veera ran and caught his arm.
Veera; baldev chad de baldev..bas
Baldev; nhi chadunga me inhe..in sb ki jaan le lunga..himmat kese hui

Veera tried to stop him but he had lost all his senses.
Veera; baldev ruk jaa tenu meri qasam (she shouted)
Baldev froze where he was, and then threw the poll stick. Veera
went to him and pulled him away from that place.

Veera; baldev menu smjha..akhir kyun kr rha he tu ye sb kuch? me
to teri bachpan ki sbse badi dushman hun na? to kyun mere liye tu
sbko..aur menu itna special kyun treat kr rha he tu?
Baldev; veera dekh mere paas tere sawalon ke jawab dene ka waqt
nhi abhi tu jaa yahan se. me tenu tere ghar chod deta hun.

Baldev was in his room.
Baldev; veera ziada der apne ghar me nhi reh skti use yahan aana
hoga. Mere paas, me use le aaonga wo sirf meri he bas.
Veera was talking to amrit on the other side.
Amrit; veera how does he look?
Veera; amrit me yahan tujhe uski dehshat ke bare me bta rhi hun

Veera was unable to understand,
Veera; amrit bhi baldev ki tarah pagal hogai he. Me sojati hun wrna

But she was unable to sleep, Baldev's thoughts occupied her mind,
and baldev kept thinking of her too.
