I think this would be my first attempt at writing on this forum! Usually I write angst, but today I decided against it (This is news to me as well 😆). Read on and hopefully you survive!
"Have you ever felt so wildly attracted to someone you could actually feel it driving you insane?" She said while her eyes almost bludging out of her sockets, making her look wildly seductive.
He pinched himself, yet the sight in front of him still looked like his fantasy, and boy was he having his fair share of those lately. Blinking his eyes rapidly, Manik continued to ogle at the petite girl in front of him, her eyes still brimming with unspoken mischief.
"Are you serious Nandini? Now? Now?" Manik said still not being able to believe what was happening. Since when did this role reversal happen? And that too, so dramatically?
"No Manik. Maybe a few years down the line, till then we should just play the abstinence game right?" Nandini said rolling her eyes at her boyfriend's naive behaviour.
Abstinence? Manik thought over the prospect of being denied for a couple of years. As he still registered from his shock at Nandini's rather bold and daring behaviour, Manik realised that whoever said that men think with their *ahem* was most likely a male that was deprived as well.
"So! What are you waiting for? The rain to cease?" Nandini said while pointing to the window of his bedroom, where the rain was trickling down the glass panel.
"Nandini are you sure?" Manik said while taking a step forward. You can be never too sure with girls, he thought. One minute they might say cheesecake, the very next they might say ice cream.
"Manik! I don't want to die a 60 year old oldie and regret not having had it while it was raining! You get me right?"Nandini said, her eyes still brimming with excitement, and a zeal to enjoy the raining night.
Shrugging his shoulders, Manik leaned over with a smirk that adorned his face, only to be interrupted by Nandini.
"What are you doing Manik?" Nandini said, her voice hinting the confusion in her mind.
"You said you didn't want abstinence right? An attraction? Driving you insane?" Manik highlighted some of the words he had registered from Nandini's over enthusiastic speech.
"I did. But I was talking about having ice cream in the rain" Nandini said, trying hard to not laugh at Manik's plethora of expressions. Ranging from shock all the way to embarrassment, Nandini had to bite her tongue damn hard in order to avoid laughing at him.
"But you said you felt an attraction that was driving you insane?" Manik said, still confused about Nandini's words.
"Manik, I was talking about ice cream only baby, please calm down and take a shower" Nandini finally let loose her laughter that she was holding back for a few minutes now.
"But you said abstinence nah?"
"Did you ever pay attention in school Manik? Abstinence is self-control, now that self-control isn't just reserved for that right? Okay, now come one, I need some ice cream in my system! I need it, I want it" Nandini winked while purposely pronouncing the "want" in a seductive manner.
"Nandini! This is not funny baba! I am going to get you back, you just wait and watch!" Manik yelled after Nandini, as she ran out of his room, only to be chased to the car by Manik
