And here we go once again with the Anky-Deepali debate. So here's why I think Ankita should be the next Indian Idol. First of all, the exposure that these kids receive in a few months is far beyond what many playback singers receive in long careers. Therefore, we can safely say that you can use the Indian Idol platform not only to become a good playback singer but also a solid popstar. Why Ankita deserves this is because if this were a 100 metre dash, she is about 2 meters behind the best singers (Abhijeet, Deepali), but so far and beyond the better performer that even if we give singing a 60% weight, and performance a 40%, her aggregate would be higher than anyone else's. And why we, her fans, are always jumping into forums and defending her is because we believe that you can learn to be a better singer, you can learn to be a better dancer, but you can't learn to be authentic, and Ankita is the 100% Authentic, Real Deal with the X-Factor that this competition is looking for.
