Very pleased for Sonam. I like the fact that she takes up meaty roles in women-centric small budget films instead of being a flower pot in big budget films.

As for the people claiming that this is somehow 'proof' that Fawad and Sonam are in some way 'better' than Sidharth, Alia, ARK, etc- um, not quite. It doesn't prove much as I think a Bollywood film featuring a successful Pakistani actor is far more likely to bring the Pakistani population to the theatres than films starring any of the (not yet established) young actors.

& Fawad is really that kind of talent. He already proved his mettle outside of Bwood: 14 years of acting experience and counting + another approach to acting. In all industries of the world even in Bwood & Hwood, the best actors come from theater & many of them used tv serials to hone their craft. Not something to sneeze at. He will showcase what he can do in his next projects, be it here or elsewhere. Comparing others to him especially newbies will only prove detrimental to them as he has more talent in his pinky finger than they all have & can acquire.

BTW, there were other Bwood movies with pakistani actors. None of them managed to get this kind of response...😊
