Humari Adhoori Kahani
It was just the start of her favorite season, that she longed for, and especially when she was in city of snowfalls and ice capped mountains that set awe inspiring scenery that she had longed for, her whole life, to live in mountains, to breathe ice-filled misty air.
She smiled as she looked out towards the mountains that had been once and for all had attracted her in past, like a part of life had belonged there. It seemed like blue ice on distant peaks were calling her, like they were speaking to her, like they beheld some secret in their silence.
And then she closed her eyes from such weird thoughts, but as she closed her eyes the weirdest of all thoughts came to her consciousness in form of a picture of a man who was her soul-mate, and her ex life partner. A single warm tear tickled down her cold alabaster cheek, like it was a worship that she did in that single moment. How can she ever blame him for the latest drastic changes in her life, or rather in their life when part of that tough decision was she herself.
She asked him to leave her, to let go of her, she was the one who broke all the threads that were binding them together. She broke, even that thread of mother-daughter with her daughter, an angel who not only filled her life's emptiness for which she was all the time rejected like a trash, but she also brought love in her life in the form her father.
Her father, who became her husband, her partner, her friend, and her only love of life. Who was none other than her soul-mate, for whom she had been waiting for whole her life, her savior, who stood by her in every situation, who believed her more than his own family, who respected her and never once even thought to bind her.
How can she blame such a selfless man who was Raman, her Raman? But now she had lost this right to call him hers, now he was someone else's. Now he was with his first love! His first ever, his Shagun, mother of his kids, mother of her Ruhi. After the whole six months, she thought now she was set, and then only this storm had to come. She didn't blame Mihika for it, it was her decision of marrying that sorry excuse for a man, Ashok, but she can't deny the fact that, that one event changed everything; it shook the roots of her marriage.
It, now seems like a dream, no, rather a nightmare. But then she had decided that she won't look back, she won't look back towards the castle of dreams that was once her abode and the prince was her husband and little angel her daughter, she won't think about her fairy tale like life that she lived for six months of her life. Those moments were the memories that would remain deep down in her heart that she would relive them in her last days. She would remember him then, her dream man. She now regretted of ever misunderstanding him, she wasted half of that time on those empty thoughts. Even those few moments with him were great treasure for her.
It were only three days, since she left him, left her daughter, her family, leaving a note for no-one, because she knew that she could never say anything to Raman nor to anyone else, it wasn't that he liked her or something. But she knew somewhere that he has started to care, about her feelings, about her well being, she also knew that she had nothing to say to him, because he would never agree.
With Mihika's marriage to Ashok, Mihir was broken, she was there when Mihika came clad in red lehenga, her hair partition filled with vermilion, and black beads around her neck, how Mihir had cried breaking infront of her, sitting on his knees helplessly asking to quit joking around.
She knew how it felt like to be left alone on the aisle like that, she had experienced one herself, but still she didn't know how to console him, she didn't know if she should be angry on Mihika or ask her- why she did, what she did or console Mihir, her Rakhi brother her loving devar?
And then came Shagun, who was Raman's first wife, who was mother of his kids, the only question that tormented her then was what would happen to Shagun but in truth, she was actually worried about Aditya more than anyone else!
She knew that he was just a child and what impact he may have of all that on his mind was of foremost concern to her. She knew that Raman would take his responsibility and would never let him happen anything, but what about his innocent mind? She knew that things for Shagun would become complicated and because of her large social circle she would have to hear the taunting remarks but what impact of all that would happen on Adi, his Adi, whom he loved with his whole heart.
And then one day while still in clinic she had this thought, that if she leaves, then Raman may unite with Shagun, though she knew that he didn't like her, for what all she did, but she was his first love, and love has power to forgive, and atleast for children's sake he would accept her, and then they can be a happy family again. Raman would get back Adi and Ruhi... she will get her real mother. Though mere thought had broken her heart in million pieces.
She had then taken matter in her hands and started being indifferent towards him and even Ruhi, though only she knew how tough was it for her, being in love with the duo, father and daughter, it was tough to act that she didn't care, but she had to do it. She had seen Raman's hurt eyes, when she had talked to him rudely. Her daughter's sad face when she had scolded her roughly, but all she could do was to cry in the balcony for hurting two most precious persons in her life, when no one was watching. And then finally as per the plan, she left them after a week, early in the morning, leaving a note behind addressing no-one.
She sighed, and came back to the room, where she was staying from past three days, in Working Women's Hostel in Shimla, and sat on bed with a sad smile. She had never thought that one day, after the big heart break she would ever get the happiness in her life, but overcoming all the odds it did happen, she got Love, she got her soul-mate in her husband. But then again fate snatched it away from her, and her love story was left incomplete...

It was almost evening when she returned from Shimla School of Medical Sciences, where she had joined only that day as an assistant lecturer in the dental department. As she walked towards the reception to fill the register about her arrival when the receptionist who was a girl of about 22-23 said with a shy smile, "Ishita Bhalla, you have a visitor!"
For the first time Ishita looked at her and asked in surprise, "Visitor... for me?!" and then she looked around only get another shock of her life, there was her part standing infront of her, and his state for a moment filled her with unknown fear and astonishment.
"Raman!" escaped from her lips in a hushed whisper, that had fear laced with happiness, seeing him after almost five days.
But he said nothing and went out silently and she looked at the receptionist who was equally surprised at the exchange, and then Ishita followed him outside with a sigh, she knew, his anger awaits her.
She came outside as the icy wind caused her to shiver a little, she saw him near a tree, while the elevation of the place helped in extracting the most beautiful sight infront of them, instead of the people and buildings as was the case in Delhi.
Raman, stood there in black over coat and a gray muffler around his neck while his one hand was in his pocket of his jeans, and other was supported on the tree trunk. She came near him and cleared her throat and called him , "Raman?"
While he remain standing in the same position and said nothing, she came to his side and noticed his eyes were fixed on some distant point, it rather looked like he was deep in thought. His silence scared her, and she called him again and this time her voice was laced with worry, "Raman! Ruhi... Is she okay?"
And that was it, he turned towards her, and his demeanor scared her and she backed off. His eyes were red and looked ugly, it seemed that he had not shaven for all these days and his hairs too had grown bit long, his disheveled form didn't sit right with her.
"Do you care about Ruhi?" he said, for the first time she heard his voice in these five days. His voice filled with nothing, like it was just an empty question but she could read sarcasm.
"Why do you say that?" she shivered as she said. She was not getting a good feeling regarding it.
"Just like that, why? Don't you have answer for it?" he asked simply.
"I don't know anything." She said and looked away and then asked, " how did you knew that I would be here?"
"How do you think?" he smirked and also turned towards the scenery where she was looking.
"Why then?" she asked. She waited for him to speak but nothing came, and then she turned towards him, who was looking at her intently.
She looked at him in bafflement, as he kept looking at her, but his face was blank and she could read nothing. But his look did left her scared, and then shocking her he stepped towards her, while she moved back as her back collided with tree trunk but he didn't stop, while her hands tried to push him away, but he caught her hands and fixed them on her either side of the trunk and moved down towards her pink lips capturing them in a soul-searing kiss, pouring out all his anger, helplessness, sorrow, and frustrations in that one kiss while her protest became weaker with his intensity, and she gave in, while his hand left her wrists and one encircled her waist while other cradled her back of head, and then pushed her backwards for better access.
By the time he left her, she was totally flushed, his hands had played havoc to her senses while caressing her waist, she was too much lost in the moment that she didn't notice when he left her lips and backed a little, she kept her eyes closed relishing that moment, her first kiss ever.
Breaking her trance, he said in a thick voice laced with undeniable desire, "Let's go to my room" while his hand was still drawing circles in waist, though she was wearing salwar suit but still she could feel the desire that he was filling in her senses. What he was doing? Why he was here?
"No Raman, It's not right." She said and abruptly turned her back towards him, "You should go back", she said, her breathing was still erratic due to his previous action.
She didn't hear any answer or scolding that she was anticipating rather what he did next left her shocked. He quietly dragged her to his car and threw her in passenger seat and quietly took the driver's seat and zoomed off.
They reached a five star hotel and he walked in with her, and hastily took the elevator and without waiting a minute encircled his arms around her waist, she couldn't think what was happening, and then as the lift stopped, they came out and walked to his suit, that was big and luxurious, but while she could take a glance at it... He scooped her in his arms and took her into the bedroom and softly placed her on bed and without wasting anytime he joined her and bend towards her, while she still in protesting mood kept on saying that, "This is not right", she threw fist at his chest and tried to push him back, but he wasn't listening and she continued, "Please Raman, why are you doing this...??" she cried, tears escaped as he undressed her, tore off the cotton off her body, kissing nipping her skin and giving her several hickeys in processes, like he was not himself in that moment, and in one swift moment he entered her, tearing her virginity, marking her his, and striking couple of times and then with a loud groan filling her with his love, he rested his forehead on hers and whispered, "I have marked you as mine, I have completed this relationship." And then he looked in her tear filled complaining eyes and asked, "What should I do more to prove that I don't want that woman, that I don't want to part with you, that it's only you that I want to spend my rest of life with. That I have loved you ever since I first met you... that I was rude to you because I love you..." he said as a single tear tickled down his eyes to her cheek and she looked at him in shock and guilt.
"You too broke my heart Ishita, you left me too, and this time I would have died, had I not been able to find you... I would have died." He whispered.
"Raman... I am sorry..." she said not able to meet his gaze due to guilt while tears made their way down her cheeks.
"Did I hurt you?" he asked in concern.
"You can never hurt me", that said and she hugged him tightly while fresh tears made their way down her cheeks.
He pulled away, and again captured her lips in a deep kiss, thoroughly sucking her lower lip making her moan and then moving downwards towards her long alabaster neck kissing every inch of it like he was soothing away the pain caused by his love-bites. And then again they made love, but this time he was gentle, taking her to the paradise with him.
