Rediff Verdict: Khoobsurat FLOP Daawat E Ishq Below average

Last week's releases Khoobsurat and Daawat-E-Ishq did not perform well at the box office.

Khoobsurat failed to draw in the crowds.

Daawat-E-Ishq, on the other hand, picked up over the weekend but could not sustain on Monday.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani gives us the box office verdict for the week.

Khoobsurat

What works: Good looking film with candyfloss romance

What doesn't: We've seen better before

I still find it commendable that a film like DEI managed to get an average box office standing! The movie had ZERO buzz, no hype and nobody even cared about it.

For that kind of movie to be an average is really amazing in my opinion. It just proves that Parineeti has a strong pull! at least stronger than Sonam's!

When Aisha was released everyone screamed flop now everyone agrees it was average! Lol!

Khoob is doing great. This was posted right after the first day and I remember reading it. Movies like Khoob & DEI need time for verdicts.

Pari & ARK have more bo pull then Sonam. Fawad is new to India.

In any case, Khoob has pulled ahead in India and it's doing really well overseas with a limited number of screens.

Btw, this was posted by rediff on Monday after 3 day collection, that was not important or overlooked I guess. recent ones say otherwise which will not b e considered here obviously as people here busy proving how their predictions of a movie being flop having IKaun and IF superstar.

so carry on and post as many articles as possible including the recnt ones too.

No offence , but if ks is flop , then dawat eishq with more screens and bigger release is a flop too. 😆

so how can khoobsurat with 12 cr budget just like FFF and that it's has collected less than FFF very a hit and FFF a flop? Can somebody please explain?

KS is not 12cr budget it's 30 crs budget 😆
