Hello all,
The reason why I made this post is because I saw many hate threads for the current ongoing track.
The marriage is yet to happen and everyone here is already predicting it will take saas bahu route. Isn't it too early to make this prediction? Or are we coming to this conclusion based on the countless shows that had a promising start but took the cliched route? I maybe wrong and maybe all of them claiming This-Show-Has-Gone-The-Drain correct. But what is the harm in giving the benefit of doubt?
Revenge, the american show which is the original show too had its ups n downs. Even there Emily married Daniel. But I didn't see many complaining.
Durga wants to take revenge on all those who had wronged Payal. Not just Shaurya and that is possible if she gets into the family. It is easier to destroy your enemy once you get into their inner circle and that is what is happening in the show too. She never wanted to marry Shaurya to redeem him. They never showed Shaurya redeeming either. If they really wanted to go the saas bahu route they could have shown Shaurya having a change of heart for Durga when he saw how she pretended to care for him even when he lay in bed paralysed. But that did not happen. He is still the same kameena he was before.
Durga is not a woman who is out there for revenge alone. She is woman who is capable of harboring emotions beyond vengeance. She has feelings for Dev but not for once did she let that sway from her mission and I have a feeling even if she gives importance to her marriage she will never overlook her mission which is of utmost priority to her now, Dev or no Dev. Or I hope so
As for Dev many are calling him by God knows what names 😆 Initially he was pursuing Payal to get to Nithya. I agree his I-Love-Nithya chants get annoying at times. But if u look at it from his POV how can he immediately react? He is unsure about what happened. Its not easy to doubt your own family or blame them unless you have solid proof. He knows Payal and Nithya can never do something as cheap as what they were accused of but at the same time he does not have any hard proof to convict Shaurya. Shaurya is an arrogant brat and he knows that but is that proof enough to call him a rapist? How can he accuse Shaurya before getting proof? And before that he needs to hear Payal's side of the story. And Payal is in no fit state to speak up. And Nithya who could have answered him is not there. So obviously he is looking out for them. But I do admit at times he gets annoying 😆
Besides none of us wanted her to get married to Shaurya. At the end of it all, DevGa were meant to be together. Also how long will Durga and Sakshi play cat and mouse game? They had to come together in a face off and now they have. It depends on CVs on how they will take it forward from this point.
I may be foolish enough to hope that show will retain its flavor but I want to give it one last try before I decide this is good for nothing. When we are reading a book there will be moments when we feel what route is the story taking but at the end some of them do turn out to be nice and EHT is still mid way through. We have many things to unfold yet. Raima's betrayal, Sakshi's reaction to it, Akash's mystery and biggest of all, they have not yet revealed what happened with the real Durga. It is mentioned she is dead but if that was the case then how come none of her friends knew?
So waiting for this to unfold and the CVs have an opportunity to make EHT one of the most remembered shows or turn it into cliched one.
