So, they TOI found their scapegoat. Blame everything on her and TOI will came out 'clean' in this whole saga.
What about the owners if TOI? When are they going to be named?

@Lovanika, Why on earth would Ranbir call up Priya Gupta? Usko kya padi hai?😆
He did not even comment when his own girlfriend was embroiled in the Ibiza Scandal, why do you think he will adao his taang in the matters of his ex?@Light_year, I don't think anyone is s**t shaming Priya Gupta. There is a difference between mocking someone on the first page of a National Daily and writing about someone's work ethics in your personal blog. Two very different things, if you care to see it that way.Media in India is very strong. These guys are barely intimidated by politicians, leave aside getting reduced to tears by our bollywood stars!Who the hell is SRK or anyone else from bollywood to threaten a senior staff member from TOI? The TOI Legal Team would make Keema out of him, if he actually did that.Even publications like Mumbai Mirror and DNA, much smaller than TOI bajao the band of these film-stars on a daily basis and someone actually wants us to believe that a bollywood star showed his muscle power to a woman as powerful as Priya Gupta and got away with it?😆
Sad state of inside politics.
This is why I don't believe that this was a manufactured controversy. I don't think someone who has climbed the ranks would write an editorial to expose themselves.
I also don't get why people are upset with the criticism of Priya Gupta. These journalists are not abusing Priya or calling her names. They are giving a professional criticism. Feminism does not mean that a woman is absolved from criticism. Priya Gupta has allegedly climbed the ranks at the expense of others. She has allegedly created an unpleasant work environment. Her "Dear Deepika" article reeked of blatant sexism. There is absolutely nothing wrong, abusive or anti-feminist about professional criticism. Any working professional should expect their competiveness and abilities to be questioned and criticized.
The sheer number of lay-offs, transfers and resignations witnessed in Bombay Times since Priya Gupta took over as the de-facto editor has shocked even outsiders.
When you can't write to save your life, the safest option for survival seems to be surrounding yourself with mediocrity that allows you to shine a bit. The sole exception is the presence of the very experienced and once respected Meena Iyer in the newsroom - apparently reduced to a rubber stamp, but clinging on despite the daily humiliation she sobs about to friends outside the office.
