Chapter: 6

Rudra was running with full of his speed when he arrived the hotel room he saw Laila and Sona knocking the bathroom's door. He ran towards the door and tried to open it by hitting it with his shoulder at last the door opened he was shocked to see Paro laying on the floor like a dead body and water was continuously falling on her from the shower Laila and Sona started crying seeing her like that.

Rudra quickly closed the shower and examined her forehead with his hand. She was cold as ice. Then he realized that she was not breathing he quickly started pumping her chest with both of his hands until she started coughing.

Rudra: "O Paro are you ok??" his voice was full of fear...

Paro slowly opened her eyes and tried to focus the person sitting next to her and said: "Ru...ahm ahm rudra is it yyyou??"...

Rudra's eyes filled with tears and said: "Yes it's me you are fine now..."

Paro give a weak smile to Rudra and then fainted. He picked her up and lay her down on her bed...

Laila: "She is totally wet Sona come we have to change her clothes..." Sona nodded...and both of them started watching Rudra who was still standing next to Paro's bed with face full of tension...

Sona cleared her throat when Rudra looked at her she asked him: "We have to change her cloth so will you please..."

Rudra (little confused): "Oh yes yes mam I will be in the hotel if you need me then just call me..." While going out of the room he was continually watching Paro until Laila closed the door in front of him... This is all my fault akheer mny Paro ko itna dukh ku diya?? Kya sach main wo mjh sy itna hi pyar krti hai jitna main us sy?? He shake his head to clear his thoughts...Pagl Rudra ya kya soch raha hai jb tujhy us sy pyar karny haq hi nahi to phr aysa ku kr raha hai apny ap py qabu rakh or ab sy us k samny qamzoor mat prna...

Rudra promised himself that from now on he will keep his distance from Paro...

Laila and Sona changed Paro's cloths and covered her with a warm blanket but Paro was still shivering. Sona run to turn on the heater but all in vain she was still shivering like hell and her body was cold as ice. Laila became tensed because Paro's body temperature was not coming down she asked Sona: "Yar Paro ki tabiat to boht kharab lag rahi hai jaldi sy Rudra ko bula k lao main is k pas rukti hun."

Sona run towards the door. She was surprised to see Rudra standing right In front of the door.

Sona while breathing hardly: "Rudra!! Please jaldi ao kuch samjh ni a raha Paro ki tabiat boht sakht kharab hai. She is shivering and and her body is cold as ice..." Saying this she run towards Paro.

Rudra never think of anything else and ran fast towards Paro. He picked her up in his arms along with her blancket and want towards his jeep Laila and Sona followed him. And in just 10 to 15 mints they were in the army hospital's emergency ward and doctors were attending Paro.

Doctor Khurana: "Major Rudra hmy in ko ICU main shift krna ho ga...NURSE!!! Jaldi sy in ko ICU main ly k chalo..."

Laila and Sona were shocked because of 2 reasons. One: they came to know about Rudra's truth and Second: that Paro was in very serious condition. But at the time the second was most horrible for them. Sona started crying impatiently Laila tried to calm her down but she herself was carrying too. Paro was in the ICU and Rudra was glued to the door since the doctors had brought her in.

At last the doctor came out and Rudra asked in a tensed tone: "Doctor how is she now?? She is ok na?? kya main us sy mil skta hun?? Please say anything..."

Doctor Khurana: "Wooo Rudra stop stop let me answer first...She is fine now but still unconscious, boht acha hua jo tm khud hi ly aye ambulance ka wait ni kiya wrna hypothermia ka khatra tha...next 8 hours would be very important agr hosh a gaya to koi khatry ki bt ni ho ge...and yes tm us sy mil sakty ho..." and nodded with a smile on his face towards Laila and Sona who were busy in thanking God.

Rudra run towards the room where Paro was lying unconscious on her bed he was relieved after watching her laying comfortably on the bed. He sat next to her bed by holding her hand and for the next 3 to 4 hours he was there watching over her trying to wake her up.

"Rudra please don't do this to me. Please I know you are not like Shantanu. Please don't leave me like him..." Paro said while she was still unconscious...

Rudra couldn't understand that who this Shantanu is. And what is his importance in her life the thing that matter the most at this time was that she was talking in sleep. He ran towards the doctor's room but there was no one in there then he went towards the reception where he asked for doctor Khurana who was attending Paro.

Receptionist: "Major Rudra I am sorry to inform you that Doctor Khurana's mother is dead so he is gone out of town about 1 hour ago. Now all his cases are handed over to Doctor Roshani Singhaniya. She is on round of all the patients she would be arriving to Miss Paro's room anytime."

Rudra: "Thank you." Roshani...He thought. And ran back towards the room.

Before he come back in the room she was already conscious and Doctor Roshani was attending her. Laila and Sona were standing beside Paro.

When he entered the room everyone in the room look towards him. At once after watching him Paro's eyes filled with tears she turned her face and closed her eyes just to avoid him. Rudra expected that reaction from her but he was happy that Paro was finally conscious. He wanted to give her a tight hug but he thought to control his emotions.

Doctor Roshani: "Hmmm so Major Rudra Partab Ranavat ap idar hoty han aj kal..."

After listing a female voice saying his name he turned towards her and he was surprised to see Roshani his school friend in front of him. She was grown up into a very beautiful lady long black hairs tied in to a bun with the help of a pan she is still so careless about her hairs... He thought and the old school memories brought a small smile on his face.

His smile was the enough gesture for Roshani to know that he still remember her. She went towards him and give him a tight hug. Laila, Sona were watching all this with open mouth. But Paro was hating all this her heart was now broken in to thousand pieces and tears were flowing continuously from her eyes.

Rudra: "Roshani tm yahn kysy or kb sy ho??"

Roshani: "Not Rohani only Ro' bhool gaye kya myra sb sy cute nick tm ny hi to diya tha. Or han school khtm hony k bd main prhany k liay USA chali gai kuch arsa phly myny MBBS complete kiya to different places py kam kiya abi recently yahn shift hui hun..."

Acha to is ka sb sy cute nick name b Rudra ny hi rakha tha great...Paro thought to herself while weeping away her tears...Now tears were replaced with anger about which Rudra was very well aware of.

I am sorry Paro but main tmy jitny dukh dy chukka hun is sy zida ab nahi dun ga. Tm sy dur rahny ki koshish karun ga. I promise ab tmhari ankhon main kabi ansu nahi ain gy. I promise. Rudra thought to himself.

Rudra with a struggling smile on his face: "Wao that's great yar ab to mulaqat hoti rahy gi..."

Roshani while smiling: "Yay sure why not...Oh sorry I totally forget about Paro she is fine now but 2 days bed rest is must...hmmm Paro so no masti rest karo ap dono ko b is ka khayal rakhna ho ga..."

Laila and Sona nodded with smile...

Roshani: "Ok g ab mjy jana ho ga Doctor Khurana k patients ki aik lambi list hai jin ko dykhna hai so take care Paro" she waved her hand in Paros direction and then turned towards Rudra and said "Ok handsome phr milty han..." Rudra passed her a smile too.

As soon as Roshani was out of the room Paro said "Please will you all leave me alone? I want to sleep."

Laila and Sona understand that why Paro was behaving so rude. Laila come towards Rudra and asked him to come with her and lead him out of the room. Sona closed the door and sit next to Paro where she was trying to get rid of her anger by closing her eyes tight.

Both Laila and Rudra were sitting on the hospital's bench. Rudra tried to ignore but the lines that Paro said before he came out of the room to search Doctor was bothering him. There were many questions in his mind which he wanted to ask so he decided to break this silence between them with these questions.

Rudra to Laila: "Who is Shantanu?"

Laila: "WHO??" she was very shocked to hear this name from Rudra...

This time Rudra asked with concern: "Is there anything wrong?? No I just asked about him because Paro was saying his name while she was still unconscious."

Laila: "He is Paro's most bitter past which she never wants to remember."Aysa kya ho gaya k us ny Shanatanu ka name liya mjy uncle ko btana ho ga.... she thought and talked to Rudra in a very tensed tone "Rudra please kya tm mjy aik mint do gy mjy aik call krni hai." Rudra nodded in agreement.

Laila went a little away from him and dialed a number: "Hello uncle...g wo mjy ap ko btana tha k Paro hospital main hai...yes yes she is fine now koi khatry wali bt ni hai mgr mjy dar hai k us ki body to thk hai mgr kahin mind py phr sy koi bura effect na ho...uncle us ny apni byhoshi main Shantanu ka name liya...sorry uncle hm ny ap ko phly nahi btaya but mjy nahi pta tha k wo itni sakht tense hai...G uncle ap please jaldi sy a jain...g thk hai main rakhti hun...Bye"

Rudra listened to the whole conversation from Laila's side. He came to know that she was talking to Mr. Singh when his phone rang and the call was from Mr. Singh.

Mr. Singh talked in a much tensed tone: "Rudra you should have informed me k Paro itni sakht bimar hai."

Rudra: "Sorry sir main ap ko btany hi wala tha but..." but before he could finish Mr. Singh said: "But kuch ni I am coming there or mjy Paro ki health ki har time ki report chaiye jb tk main wahn a nahi jata understand???"

Rudra: "Yes sir."

Mr. Singh: "Ok...bye"

Rudra: "Bye Sir..." I guess that Shantanu is someone very important in Paro's life. Mjy jana hi ho ga k wo hai kon. He thought.

When Laila came back to sit next to Rudra he asked in a very concerned voice: "Laila please tell me who is this Shantanu?? Or is ka Paro k past sy kya link hai..."

Laila's eyes filled with tears when she said: "That day was our first day of university..."

She told him each and everything about Paro and Shantanu Rudra didn't noticed that his face was totally wet with his tears and jaws were tight with anger.

Laila: "Or jb Paro parking lot main ro rahi thi tm soch nahi sakty Rudra k main kysa feel kr rahi thi aysa lag raha tha k jysy mjh sy myri sb sy qimti cheez dur chali gai hai or is k bd Paro ki jo halt hui..." And she chocked while crying...

Rudra asking in a tone full of anger: "Laila kya hua us k bd Paro ko??? Please bolo??"

Laila: "Brain hemorrhage...But thank God itna sever nahi tha but Doctors ny kaha tha k is k bt itna stress agr Paro ny liya to sever hona ka khatra hai..."she was continuously crying.

Rudra was filled with rage: "To kya Ms. Singh ny kuch nahi kiya us Shantanu ka..." he didn't know that he was crushing his teeth...

Laila: "Uncle ny usy university sy nikalwa diya us k Father ny usy US bhyj diya because he was very rich or un ko dar tha k kahin uncle usy koi nuksan na pohnca dain. Paro kuch arsy main recover ho gai mgr us k behavior main boys k liay boht sakhti a gai. Rudra" She turned towards him "Paro ny zindagi main boht kuch saha hai. Please ab us k sath aysa kuch mat hony dyna..."she wanted to tell him to accept his feeling for Paro to make her feel happy.

Yes ab aysa bilkul nahi ho ga I promise ab wo or kuch nahi sahy ge...He thought and said: "Let me check if Sona need anything..."Laila stayed there with a believe that maybe now everything in Paro's life will be fine and she would be happy again.

Mr. Singh: "O my dear Paro ya sb kysy hua??"

Paro: "Kuch nahi hua Papa jani I am fine see I am smiling" and struggled to pull a huge smile on her face.
