What a beautiful parallel u ve drawn, Anush 😳 . The king of beasts , the lion, but still a father to his cubs, heartwarming & yet so natural. The same with Jalal, an emperor-cum-the father of all, he does bring out these sentiments so easily & naturally too. And its a refreshing change too to see onscreen the honewala father worrying so much for the future of his kids 👏 . His kids are blessed indeed, these & the rest that are to follow 😊 .

Lovely & touching & a very insightful piece of writing, Anu 👍🏼

Very refreshing to see a father-to-be behaving like this on telly, yes Gayou. On balance this show does warm the heart at different times. As you say, such natural emotions are easy to connect to.

As Shehenshah his pride was saved by his dear wife by honoring his "Vachan".But both of his wives failed to understand what he felt as a father. That he never wanted his child to go through the separation from mother as he went.
That scene when he gave Farman to Ruku spoke a lot.His eyes were saying to Ruku ,You have deceived me ,my feelings .And to Jo his eyes said hope you could understand me as a father and not as Shehenshah. Hope for god sake you could feel for my blood in your womb.

@ Pad Bear : Really a Heartfelt post...and love the Tiger-cub analogy😊

@Rashmi: @Red: Awesome line, simply took my heart.😳👏

Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away. " Dinah Craik

I think that being a father is such a wonderful feeling and experience for any man, and it is intense for powerful figures like the Shehenshah himself.

"I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection."

another scene which i still remember was when rahim was about to fall from the cliff bcoz of nigar. his worry & fear for rahim was worth watching. actually i was amazed when salima despite of being rahim's mother said," kuch hua to nehi". 😕

I think you've hit the nail on the head. The powerful Shahenshah having such intense and tender feelings of fatherhood being demonstrated is quite a message.

Ya and when Jalal was told in the DEK to revoke his Haq as a father ... it was the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long long while.

Beautiful, post Anu!
Yes indeed, one can already see what agreat father Jalaal would be. You could see him pamper Rahim earlier, and even Mahtab like in the pic.

I loved how he was really worried about Mahtab's well-being in ME.

Loved the post, and love you for the pic! 🤗😳
