Ekta serials seem mainly stories of women fighting women. I made the mistake of considering KAA, a love story, but it isn't one. It is, as the forum caption states, "This is the heartwarming story of a small town girl who goes through a lot of hardships and finally comes out with triumphant colors." My main gripe with KAA is that Shiv lacks character. But again in these run of the mill women stories, we can't expect an elaborate and subtle characterization of men.
