Aarati, sat on the bed in her bedroom - stunned and confused. Yash had left by flight to Mumbai on Sunday evening. He had called her upon landing and a second time - about a half hour ago. It was about 2:00 am Monday morning.

She could not believe - Yash was going to pretend to the world that he was Akaash! She did not know what to make of it - worse, Yash had made her promise that she would not call, text or in any way try to contact him. "Aarati, I do not want to explain our relationship to others who may be around when you contact me. Try to understand, I am Akaash now. Akaash is single - so, now I am single", Yash had explained. Aarati had tried every trick - but Yash was adamant.

"Aarati, Akaash is my twin brother. He and Radha Maa have borne a lot - that I, may lead a privileged life - now is my turn to return. If you were in my place, would you not do the same sweetheart?" Yash had asked in that special entreating voice of his. Even now when she recollected that moment Aarati felt the same as she had then. She felt Yash sitting next to her - holding her hands and looking at her with pleading eyes. Yash's presence was so strong - that she automatically leaned towards him - only to realize that the space around her was empty.

Disappointed she put away the phone and lay down to sleep. But her mind continued to revolve around her conversation with Yash. "What will you do if Bauji were to phone you? How would you explain Akaash having a father?" she had asked.

"I have asked Bauji not to contact me too" Yash had replied calmly.

"What...?" Aarati was so surprised she could not think of anything to say.

"Haan, I have informed Bauji that I am here in Mumbai to help his friend Radha's son who was born the same day as me. He was so surprised he agreed to whatever I said without even asking a single question" said Yash quietly chuckling.

"Yash - what if Bauji questions me tomorrow. What do I tell him?"

"Tell him - that I am in Mumbai to help a friend and that I do want to be contacted while I am at it ... ... nothing more. He does not know the whereabouts of Radha Maa and has never heard the name Akaash - so, he need know nothing more."

"Yash - Bauji will be livid -what if he were to ask me and the kids to leave the house?" asked a terrified Aarati.

"Do not fear - that will never happen. How would he explain his actions to Gayatri Ma? Besides she would never let any harm near you - not in this condition. She is so looking forward to the grandchild you are carrying. So remember, sweetheart to take good care of yourself and our little one. Tell the kids I love them and ..."

"And?" asked Aarati.

"Check my section of the closet - underneath my shirts - there is a gift for you."

They spoke for some more time before hanging up. Sure enough Yash had hidden a box of Swiss chocolates in the closet. Aarati smiled - he remembered her midnight craving for chocolates!

Aarati could not fall back asleep she kept tossing and turning. Her mind worried about Yash - but what was troubling her was not Yash. It was the nagging feeling that she had not done justice to Ansh.

It was wrong to have not told him that Prashant was alive. She was concerned. Would Ansh behave like Yash did towards Bauji when he hears about Prashant, his biological dad?

She recalled with a pang how voraciously Yash had read about the behaviors of identical twin raised apart and how much he yearned to be in contact with Akaash. Akaash had insisted that they not stay in touch as he was unwilling to jeopardize Yash's relationship with SP and Gayatri. And so, Yash was always striving to connect with him telepathically. Aarti wondered whether Yash had succeeded in connecting with Akaash telepathically. Her mind soon reverted back to Ansh - how would he feel and behave when he knew about Prashant?
