I wanted to post this here coz I was quite surprised, though I shouldn't be...:)

Just like there are street decorations for Diwali in Leicester, UK which is dominated by a high Gujarati population, this road sign is an acknowledgement of the contributions of Indians ( a large percentage of them Malayalis) working in the UAE...

Also for the past several years, Onam was happening during the Ramzan period, and public celebrations were not possible - so this is a sweet gesture indeed...
