* this week what really ticked me off is actually lakshya's turnaround. i've said this elsewhere: why is it that lakshya can do terrific things when he is motivated by other people's misery, but not his own? why was lakshya a complete limp noodle when the love of his life was taken away, but when tripti-the-gross lifts her hand to baa, he suddenly gets a spine?
* does no one else have a bad feeling that all this new founded lakshya-kt togetherness is going to lead to an eklavya-attempt-to-rape-kt real soon now? 😕
* on a related note, does anyone else think that when this happen, kt will have a flashback about eklavya trying the same thing on holi day?? (yes, people, i'm still convinced that eklavya did something bad to kt on holi-day.)
* on another related note, does anyone think kt and lakshya can borrow some of their new spine and maybe brains to think of a way to get together? or are the scriptwriters trying to convince us that they're staying apart for eklavya's happiness?
* on a deep thought, (which is probably a really really stupid thing to do with this show! 😆 but what the heck, this summer, i learnt to live dangerously!) does anyone in this show ever do anything for their own happiness, ever? does anyone ever fight for themselves?
* pondering 'bout kt-lakshya brings me to the other "passionate" couple: bhoomi-abhir. now here's another cuddlesome twosome i just don't get, i'm afraid. i thought abhir was wealthy? had his own house? why the heck are the married couple living in the girl's bloomin' house??!?!!?!?!?!? isn't that completely topsy-turvy? why isn't it expected that archita-abhir should live in abhir's house?? did tulsi-d bankrupt him and get the loan-sharks to take his house in the last battle they fought? i don't remember that...
or is abhir using the excuse that his father is such a horrendously lecherous dude that he doesn't dare take his blushing bride home?? 🤢
* is there really no limit to which sahil can be made to look like a silly mannequin in this show?
* but then, this week practically every character on this show has been made a caricature! who do i remember now? baa, tulsi-d, mihir-daadu, kt, daksha-c, abhir, bhoomi, eklavya, obviously the unholy trinity, even lakshya.
* i must say that karan's character is showing nice shades of being human: first actually feeling guilty enough about baa to stop a party, that wryly exasperated line to tanya-mom that not everything that is nice has to be had, then trying to actually be calm with a fired up defensive manthan - nice. in a week full of caricatures, karan and prajakta were ...
i was about to say real, when i realised that this is ksbkbt, where real is nothing. 😆
okay, so in a week full of caricatures, karan and prajakta were characters with some depth and feeling.
* it must be true what they say about the difficulties of working with body doubles. all the characters in this show have got a natural warmth with this new tulsi-d that wasn't there with the old tulsi-d, dontchya think?
i don't mean that this characterisation of tulsi is what we've known tulsi-d to be. this character still doesn't feel like she's really tulsi-d!
but for all that, there's a vibe now that was definitely missing earlier. which makes me feel sad, 'cause i believe the earlier actress was very good. makes me feel sad 'cause i can't help but think that if she had been on the sets, it'd have been a much much more enjoyable show?
* gee, i don't know where the magic comes from, but baa can be the only character who can say such inane things and get away with it! anyone else saying it sounds weak and fake. for example, when tulsi-d says the whole spiel about having to fight the big battle against the baddies with badness now, it made me cringe.
or lakshya with that line about arjun - wha...?
but baa can say anything and i still smile tolerantly. 😆
* the latest addition of cat-man has me pondering wildly! what, oh what, will this twisted creation be put to use for in this story????? 😆
don't tell me that tulsi-d's new catering firm is going to be catering home-cooked cat food??!! 🤣 (which, btw, is a new hot phenomenon in bombay -- i actually saw delivery boys delivering hot home cooked dog food when i was there this summer!)
so, i still don't have had much time to blow on watching the show regularly. but i must admit to a peripheral curiousity on what new way the scriptwriters will find to wreck this old show...
now is that sad or what?? see, what this show has reduced me to! 😆
