I did visit the Kyunki site and watched the video. I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I much preferred Mihir to Thakral.
Today I Ghar Ki Laxshmi Betiyaan was on ATN and the last scene was some mysterious guy coming down the stairs with a cat in his hand. I had to check to see if it was Kyunki. What a joke - all the shows now have some mysterious guy who likes to fondle cats 😕 ?
It made me curious to watch Kyunki which I did - my one and only time since the show doesn't interest me. Yes RK's character is odd and eccentric and I found the names of his cats hilarious 😆 . So that's where ADs Dixit clone sisters have disappeared to. They've morphed into Thakral's cats 😆 .
Anyway, its obvious that the pool of creatives 😕 in India writing serials is very small since there really is nothing creative, innovative or unique about any of the shows. SIL sleeping with BIL, cross marriages, eccentric cat loving millionaires with more than likely a lame raaz, lovers separated numerous times that you wonder how they produced children, maintained their love and even why the audience still loves them, multigenerational leaps when creative brain cells are stagnant, and so on.
My hope is that since SS and Ekta have kissed and made up, SS will return to the helm of KS and bring it back to its former glory where yes - a male character was strong, opinionated, powerful, charismatic, a bit of a bully - but he was loved and accepted by the audience because his female counterpart was equally strong.
