bollywood movies are truly special in their own way. if i wanna watch a hollywood actor or westernized cinema i'll watch a hollywood movie, it's stupid that all these stars and directors are trying to "modernize" bollywood cos then this special cinema will lose its charm...

the thing is in making BW and HW seem so different...in making HW sound so much superior to BW...that it is now in people's mindset

Hollywood the pioneer in making movies. They had colour since 1940's in their movies, while the rest of the world got colour in late 60's.

Each and every technology in movie making began with Hollywood.

Animation is still not being made in BW.

So why degrade HW just to make yourself feel superior. When those BW makers themselves copy HW movies and make noise about having colonial mentality.

very well said. bollywood movies should be original. what surprise me, even when bollywood copies/or makes movies inspired by hollywood, still they fail, hardly any impact. thats embarrassing.

but then again..i don't mind movies made in bollywood inspired by hollywood...as long as its well made and entertains.
