YES!! YES!! To all of the above. No offense to the actress, but Sarla is one character that should die. I hate how she 24/7 checks on Abhi and Pragya. Give them some space will ya. Nosy Parker she is. And how she keeps saying I want to get all my daughter married and live happily ever after. What is this fairy-tale? Problem does occur once in a while but she gets worked a lot. It's okay to care and worry but she does it in extreme manner. And also how she constantly pushes her daughter to get married. As if all the solution to the problems lies in getting her daughters to get married. Be strong and stop worrying. Stop pushing your daughters to get married.

Arre come on Lk...maa jaisi bhi hoti hai, maa toh hai! Sarla is indeed annoyingly emotionally frail, with unhealthy boundary issues with her children, but in the range of "loathsome worst mothers who deserve to cease existing," she doesn't rank. She is the anchor to Pragya and Bb's world; her death would not solve their problems, but rather set them adrift.

She has spent a lifetime working herself to the bone for their sake and being at their side against the world. What she wants for them is security and happiness. That this sometimes makes her blind to their actual needs, and that her way of wanting this causes problems for them, is definitely something we can dislike and criticize. But it doesn't mean she "needs to die."

Honestly, as far as stupid plot/motivation contrivances go? "Unreasonable love for one's non-evil mother" is a lot better than what we usually see on these shows. Pragya and BB are making bad choices and would help their mother a lot more by being honest with her, but at least they are making bad choices because they have loving and protective hearts, not because they're stupid or being duped.

Also regarding my attempt at Hindi chiding...I don't mean that all mothers should automatically be forgiven because they're mothers. I just want to point out that the relationship of a child to her mother generally cannot be compared to other relationships. And though Sarla is being a problematic mother to her adult children, I would have trouble declaring her to be simply a bad mother.

Well reasoned, Mina. Yes, her death would likely cause more issues. But I still dislike her annoying presence. 😆

no don't say that... Sarla should not die I mean she has children whom she loves dearly atleast she never abdoned them and came looking for them when they are finally older and could take care of themselves or always insults them saying that they are ugly and can't get any man and stuff like that she cares for them and worries for them I get its a bit much but she is a mother and no child should ever have to go through loosing a mother

I voted 'no' as well. Sarla is annoying but well meaning and loves her children. She is the rock of Pragy's existence and Pragya would be lost/shattered without her mother.
