Kangana Ranaut seems to be up to something. Our photog caught her deep in thought at an event recently, but we think the Pahadi actress sure knows what she's up to!

She has already won accolades for her performances as well as for her style sense, and with a certain Mr AP out of her life, things seem to be going well.

Is the next man waiting in the wings to make his appearance?

Is this Kangana's way of telling us she's about to spring a fast one on us? Not likely.

Amitabh Bachchan has been saying it all along, and now two more veteran actors are joining him in 'Bollywood' bashing.

No dahlings, they aren't saying unmentionable things about the Hindi film industry, instead, they have a bone to pick with the term 'Bollywood'.

Originally coined by the Western media to refer to Hindi cinema, "Bollywood is derogatory and humiliating," point out Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri.

The two actors spoke their minds about the widely-used term during a function to honour them by the London-based organisation, India-EU Film Initiative, at the Nehru Centre.

Both Shah and Puri attacked the Western media for calling them 'Bollywood' actors. They said the Indian film industry is not happy with the term and disgusted by its usage in the media.

"The term 'Bollywood' was used to mock us by the Western press. It's just an indication of our own idiocy that we still use it," said Shah. Point noted.

Food for thought

Bad Taste: Yash Chopra

Buzz doing the rounds is that the food at Yash Raj Studios is terrible.

Says a source in the film industry, "All film units shooting there are expected to eat the canteen food available there.

One of the partners who runs the canteen is someone called Akshay, and the food he doles out is very bad. It's not just tasteless but usually undercooked.

The rice is kachcha and the daal is soooo watery. The worst thing is that though many unitwallahs have lodged complaint, nobody listens. The staff at the canteen is very rude."

Who'd have thought? YRF and bad food? Maybe they're transferring all those losses into cost-cutting in the kitchen, eh?

LEG GLANCE: Karishma Kotak

London-based model Karishma Kotak makes her debut opposite Chiranjeevi in the Telugu version of Lage Raho Munnabhai.

Karishma, who featured in Sonu Niigaam and Sapna Mukherjee's music video Ananya, has been modelling since the age of 18.

She has also walked the ramp for designers like Manish Malhotra, Rocky S and Vikram Phadnis. Karishma also featured in the 2006 Kingfisher Calendar.

As Munnabhai would say, 'Samjho ho hi gaya....yeh Karishma!'

Some days ago, we mentioned how the once suave Jackie Shroff had hit rock bottom with his dressing style (an unkempt beard, baggy clothes and even kajal in his eyes!)

But at a recent event, we saw a marked improvement and he looked rather dapper in a shiny suit.

Now this is how a star should step out in public, no?

Shahid Kapur has become a fan of Sunny Deol after having worked with him in Feroz Nadiadwala's Fool N Final.

Says Shahid, "There was never any discomfort between Sunny and me in spite of the fact that he's so senior to me.

He always went out of his way to make me feel comfortable.

Sunny is a thorough gentleman and a complete professional.

It was a pleasure to learn from him."
