I know majority viewers thinks Bakshi is a bad human and sister or sister in law
But sometimes the terror of a father or brother or husband or a son is so much that a girl becomes like a robot just following what they tell to do although she knows what she is doing is wrong. Its easy for modern girls to say why is bakshi lying? why is bakshi doing things her husband says? why is she scared not brave? etc etc But an abused woman no she is still a 23 year old girl (may be 18-19 year old here in serial) who has become an widow once and was married off without her consent to sharifuddin. Akbar chose her husband and her mother may have informed and arranged for it. She never chose this brute of a man. Majority women who are abused have not chosen their husbands their parents, elders or brothers arrange groom for them even in 21st century.
Now once she was married she has no escape from this brute man. Because in 16th century a emperor's sister or wife cannot divorce. It will become talk of town and emperor will be ridiculed. She cannot openly go and tell Akbar "Bhaijaan this man is doing this to me" because her brother will feel guilty for choosing a brute for his sister all life. Hamida is no great mother to Akbar or to her step daughter Bakshi at all. The only person who she is concerned is Jodha which is again surprising. She is not close to any of her babhi's they are in their own world of kitchen politics and how to attract her brother towards them. In such a situation how Bakshi must be living keeping all this abuse both physical and mental in her mind. Its a great thing she is not showing signs of depression, mental illness or suicidal tendency yet.
And then Sharifuddin is also after other women especially her own bhabhi Jodha that too. How can Bakshi go and tell Akbar "Bhaijaan, my husband is lusting after a woman and that woman is your wife.? And daughters anyway are close till they are big to father's and later only to mothers. Here Bakshi's father must have died when she was 10-11(in history at 17) and mother anyways is not there as good as not there. She has no friends she has been brought up in confines of an harem with no access to outside world with only babhi's, maids, brothers, mothers for company. And honestly these abuse etc are things friends tell to other friends more easily than to family. Because with family comes fear, fear of rejection, fear of revenge, fear of brushing under carpet, fear of guilt by family for marrying to a wrong human etc
And anyways Akbar's family is not a great family. Hamida is insensitive and innocent to understand world, jodha only gives emotional bashans, salima only gives practical bashaans, ruqaiah is an insensitive human who does not care about others, Akbar is busy with work overload, Hakim is younger to Bakshi, other sisters are in Kabul not with her. So Bakshi may have a huge family but she is all alone in this world.
And look at the ladies and them scolding and lecturing Bakshi. She is terrorised by look of her face and what great advice she gets speak to sharif alone. They will not speak, they will not broker peace or counsel them both together, they all are more bothered what will be their respect in Mughal empire if this news spreads. They are not bothered about her.
And honestly even in 21st century we all know in our neighbourhood which husband hits his wife, which saas troubles her bahu, which father terrorises his children, which bahu abuses her in laws etc in locality but here in 16th century these Mughal begums do not know that their nanad, beti is terrorised for past 4-5 years by her husband Sharifuddin.

So how come both are lecturing bakshi on speaking truth to husband
Jalal is a good husband he forgives easily not all husbands are same. Sharifuddin is a terror Bakshi fears him like a prisoner fears a warden. Its easy to lecture to those who are abused when you have never been abused in life. Its a completely different thing to live with an abuser day and night. Hopefully Akbar understands that better than the women in his family as he is shown more sensitive and caring than rest in his agra fort and he takes steps to ensure Sharifuddin never misbehaves with his sister else just get her divorced not bothering about society and respect and take care of her.
