Well I agree dear to say that we can make cake is easy rather than to make it and it is not necessary that everyone will be brave as others are if we talk about anciant times after marriage only husband and his oders matter mist for a wife that is what bakshi doing n. N common stop compare jodha with bakshi jodha is strong but bakshi is still weak to take her desicion indepently
not really at night she had gone to tell him truth maham never allowedOriginally posted by: sri_divya

Jodha is brave because her husband allows thatJodha became brave because her family gave her freedomI am not sure real Jodha would have been truly brave else she could not be forced to marry Akbar aginst her wishesIf Sharifuddin was her husband he would had bashed her into submissionBraveness comes usually when opponent is a bit soft and respects human life and values onlyCan someone stand and give lecture to a terrorist on human rights? Not until he is willing to hear.So all these are hypothetical situations not realityDid you forget she ran to commit sucide within a month or so of marriage because family did not want her back and Akbar did not love her? At that time Akbar did not even hit and abuse her like sharif does to bakshi. Bakshi is more strong than jodha she has sustained the abuse and not tried to give her life up like jodha.

I read a quote somewhere - " your mind can either be your prison or your palace". The only thing bakshi is a prisoner of is her fear of being alone and without a husband. She is so attached to the idea of having a shauhar, that is she willing to overlook his every folly. I find her character so unbecoming of a Mughal princess, she has everything that she will need to build a happy life, her doting brother who has nearly limitless resources to support her and child, a supportive family, and most importantly a sense of purpose in her daughter - despite this, she is clinging onto facade of a happy married life and is compromising her self respect to keep up pretences.
And I don't buy the 16th century mindset rationale, she has plenty of examples of strong, independent women who are choosing to fight for their ambitions, happiness and way of life - HB, Ruk, even MCB and Shehnaaz - for all their intentions good or bad, you gotta respect their fighting spirit.
