CPIM has no real issue but Hindu bashing left. What is secularism .... "equal respect for all", or 'absence of faith" To prevent somebody from his/her faith is the biggest sin. Let all the believers enter the Temples, provided that all them people keeps the rules and regulations of the Temples, intact and alive. But here we are making people enter for the sake of votes

Kerala to amend temple entry rules: Minister

July 05, 2007 13:55 IST

In a radical reform move, Kerala's [Images] Left Democratic Front government is planning to amend rules to facilitate worship in temples by all those believe in Hinduism.

The Temple Entry Proclamation Rules of 1936 will be amended suitably to allow entry of all believers into temples, including the famous Sree Krishna Temple in Guruvayur, Devaswom minister G Sudhakaran told the state assembly on Thursday.

The existing rule allows entry to a Hindu by 'birth or religion,' he said, adding that it will be amended by adding the word 'faith.'

Sudhakaran, however, added that a detailed discussion was necessary in this regard.

Problems like denial of worship to people like renowned singer K J Yesudas in Guruvayur temple have to be resolved, he said while replying to a submission.

The government's move was opposed only by a minor section of 'orthodox conservatives,' he said.

The government's effort could be considered as a sequel to the historic Temple Entry Proclamation, he added.

Raising the issue, T N Prathapan of Congress said the conduct of purification ritual at Guruvayur temple after the entry of Union Minister Vayalar Ravi's son Ravi Krishna had 'taken the state backwards.'

He demanded that the government take steps to stop this kind of incidents in future.

Nice topic Lata ji!👏

In India according to Politicians (but not to ordinary janata)

Secularism is equal to non reference to Hinduism Its much more strong Secularism if is bashing of Hinduism
  1. It is strongest secularim if it Support to Non Hindus and giving preference to Non Hindus!!

Coming back to Kerala issue:

Government does'nt have moral right to amend the rules of a historic temple, even though some of their rules are harsh ,they are there for several centuries let them be as they are.....

Does the govt dare to touch or amend any rules regarding a missionary or wakf boards.....

Agree with you Myth,
The agenda of CPIM like this one, is designed to divide communities. Indian politicians goal is to create identity and then rally them religiously for vote bank.
If the CPI-M is bringing in a law to allow people of any faith to enter a temple if he is a believer, they should also simultaneously bring in a law allowing believers of any faith to enter churches and mosques in the state,(where in some mosques, woman are not allowed) if they have the guts to do so. Let missionries go to mosque and teach them too.
Lots of christians have joined the CPI-M (Wonder).
Mrs Gandhi was also not allowed inside the temple So what is such big deal ??? Are these people out of places to worship or suddenly their faith on our God has increased or they jus believe that hindu community is stupid and can be manupulated any way they want?

Stupid Stupid CPIM politicians 😡 🤢 What kind politicians are they..look at the rate of jobless peopel in WB and now here too, they have no concerns on any other advancement of the state, other then anti hindu activities 🤢

Thankyou Maya ji 😊!!!

I don't understand why the temple authorities don't permit Shri Yesudas to enter that temple inspite of being such a Krishna Bakht.

But still the rules of the temple are rules.....

I cannot get a bread dipped in wine in a Church unless and untill I'm a Christian.... I should not feel bad or goto court for that wine dipped serene bread ....because it is part of their religion...

Myth

Does the temple take funding from the govt?

If yes, the govt can dictate what they want in rules, but then they have to apply the same rules to everyone

If not, the temple board can tell the govt to go you know where 😉

As for Mr Yesudas, excellent singer, love his music, but thanks but no thanks if the rules are Hindus only and you are not, you are not allowed, atleast the board is uniform in that aspect
