Well Doctor's appointment that too one with a Dr so hard to get is more important than the school function. And ranveer being her husband has certain responsibilities towards Rashi also. I wud have opposed to it if it was a movie date or something but this is an important thing and she has gotten out of cancer so her health needs to be taken care of. So in my opinion it wasn't heartless.
