I love symbolisms. In any movie, any serial I am always a admirer of well executed symbolisms. And yesterday in EHT I got a very lovely symbolism.
Well let me leave apart all the blunder of Dev, all the emotional stupidity of Durga and just look at the love story for a second just like that. Actually yesterday's scene bought out all the beautiful lines of the book " Promise" alive on the screen.
Just like in the book I knew something has to connect Devga. Something which only they both have or they both knew and it needs to be in a place again connected to both of them. In the book the hero reaches the place before the heroine.
Yesterday too Durga wanted to go to her home to get her parents blessing for the thing she is doing. She has burned Nithya because she feels Nithya cannot do what she intends to do and only Durga is capable of doing it.
But when she reaches the house she sees Dev who is already there. Dev is asking his Nithya to come back. Telling she has played enough and do come back and complete him as he is feeling incomplete without her.
Then the FB is shown where Nithya gives the duplicate key of the house to Dev and tells that she trusts him so much and hence giving it. She also tells that the key will ensure that there will not be a door that will stop him from reaching her.
So true. The girl who has burned Nithya is in no position to enter that house at the point. Because if she enters she will have to become Nithya as Dev will question her on why she came to that house. What connection she has.
Durga most probably will have to go back without entering as that house belongs to Nithya only. And somewhere I feel this is the encounter that is gonna open the door for Dev to know who she is really.
CVs very well showed yesterday Nithya cannot be burned. Maybe she can cease to exist temparorily. But one way or other Nithya has to return.
