My take on Friday's episode
The way Maham cared and kissed Adham's deformed body shows how much she loved him and miss him now that the reality hit hard on her face. Even a bad mother who keep cursing their kids will turn out to be weepy when they face the death of their kids and here Maham had so many unsuccessful plans to elevate her son's position in the Sultanate and dreamt of making him the Shehenshah one day. All she knew when his wrong deeds come out open in front of Jalal, he will be severely punished but she never anticipated that Jalal might kill him in his rage. As per her, her son was so strong that he will never die and he will enjoy all the pleasure of being a ruler and she will make commands by being the MUZ. The post Hamida Begum has been enjoying just because she gave birth to Jalal even though it she (Maham) who took care of him as child and taught him all about Mughal rules and regulations. When the reality stuck hard on her, she lost control on her thought and the one who cursed Jalal was not his Badi Ammi nor she was the Wazir-E Aliya of Mughal Sultanate, she as the grieving mother of a deceased and for her he was as good as a child and his crimes were always negligible. So all she felt on that moment was like any ordinary lady who thinks and blames and curses others like"Let you face the same fate and whatever the pain I undergo should befall on you" Only then you will see the Pain you have caused me by killing my son. And she went one step ahead and requested the god to change all her she made so long (all these 22 years) for Jalal's benefit to be swapped and converted as her curse, let Jalal and his wife cry by losing their children. Pious Jalal would have felt that an hurt mother's cry will be answered and that could be the reason, it stroked so hard on his mind that he felt the sky fell on his head with the bad duva of Maham.
Jalal was reminiscing all that happened earlier in the day and also those things happened ever since he became the ruler. All he could recollect was the treachery he faced ever since he became the king and all that was because he was the king. Everyone in his contact and close circle wanted control him for their own power or to get benefited by using his power. The one whom he thought more than his own father, Bairam Khan, tried hard to control him and never allowed him to take his decision and when he took once, he over ruled it by claiming, Jalal should listen to him as he was the one who made him the king and when Jalal opposed it, it went to that ugly extent where Jalal had to advise him to go on Huj yathra meaning, I don't require your support and advise any more as you are crossing your limits. When he (BK) met an untimely death, Jalal cursed himself for his death and had to marry his wife so that BK's son & wife can have a tussle free life. But he was burning with remorse for pushing BK to the death valley but still he thought his Badi Ammi & Atga Khan were there to console him and they will support him in his need and to rule the nation.
When he realized his Badi Ammi tried to bring in the difference between him and his wife just to just to retain her position in his life intact, he was shocked and when he realized she infact played a blame game on Jodha and was successful in creating rift between them, he was shattered. When he realized that just to keep Jodha away from him had allowed a man to enter his Harem and bad mouthed Jodha, he stripped all her power and position but could not think of punishing her any more as he still regarded her love and affection during his childhood. Later when found out that she has implanted an enemy in his life just to dethrone him and kept his other mother Chand Begum for the greed of power and money, he had no other option but to put her into the jail. But he didn't feel like keeping Adham in Jail thinking he was innocent and will not harm. He never thought even if is a baby snake, it will have venom in hits teeth and it can bite its owner. Yet again this was all happened just because he was the king and if not, Maham would never have thought of harming him or hurting him. She would have remained as his badi Ammi while Adham would have been his brother.
Atga Khan had to face an untimely death in the hands of Adham Khan he was Jalal's supporter and he was faithful to Mughal Sultanate. Had it not been for the power of that throne, neither Maham nor Adham would have played conspiracy with Jalal and Atga Khan would have been alive. Atga Khan had to lose his life just to save Jalal's throne and crown.
His aunt Mahachuchak had waged war on him to acquire the power and the right on this throne. His sister Nigar fought with him thinking he kept her mother captive just to save his throne and power.
So all Jalal could think off was that every one who cares for him might turn out to be those who care for his position and no one in this world cares for the mere Jalal but for Thje Jalaludin Mohammed, the Shehenshah of Mughal Sultanate. If he had to lose every other relation just to retain the throne, it is better to leave the throne so that he can retain who ever have left with him and he didn't want to lose anymore. If he has to be a loner for eveer just to be the ruler, it would be better for him to be a commoner than a king, so that he can stay with his mother, brother, sister and wives and later with his kids.
Because of this throne, his Badi AMmi has even not spared his unborn kids and have cursed them the death even before they have their life, even before they open their eyes in this cruel world. If has to stay a loser in the end being a king it would be better for him to lose that position and retain whatever has left in life than go bunkers.
Jodha had to console him not just for her, not just for his mother or for his subjects. She had to console him for himself that he has done no crime in killing his brother who went rampaging the entire army and even tried to kill the king. He had to punish him even if it were not Atga Khan but someone else as, as a ruler it was his responsibility to bring peace and prosperity in the country and if someone tries to vandalize the same, the king should not hesitate to take strict action, even if the culprit was his brother, son or to that matter father. So whatever Jalal did was right and he should not regret for that. His praja knows about what best a ruler he had been and how they are safe in his ruling. It would be better for him to stay focused and look into the safety of the country than keep mourning for the deceased. If he keep mourning and kept on blaming himself and his taqth for whatever happened to his Athalik, "Atga Saaheb" then his sacrifice will go unnoticed and will ot serve its purpose. Atga Khan knew very well that Jalal was an able ruler and the people will be safe under his ruling and that was the reason he posed himself and took the sword and even while taking his last breath, he thought about the safety of his Shehenshah. So if he really cares& values Atga Khan, he should stop this blame game and confining himself to the alcohol, he should get back to his normal self and prove his worth and there by respect the death of Atga Khan.
She also said that he should not over think about the curse of Maham on their unborn kids, as the god knows very well how selfish Maham had been and he will never fulfill the greedy people's wrong woshes. He should have faith in himself and his God, so nothing will go wrong. He should also know that his Jodha was there with him and will always be with him as his shadow no matter what happens in future and wherever they are and whichever condition they may have to stay. She was his wife, His Ardhangini and will be the same forever and will part with him till her last breath. She doesn't care whether he has power, throne and crown or he will be on the streets as a commoner without money and shelter. She will follow him wherever he goes and whatever he does. So he should stop crying that he is alone and no one cares for him as a person. She loved Jalal, the man and not the king. So he should be assured of her company whether he likes it or not but she will follow him as his shadow while he will be walking towards the Sun (welfare), she will follow him so that she doesn't miss his steps and if he faces some hardship, she will be handy to support him. If he will be going in the opposite direction, away from the sun (wisdom), she will walk aherad of him so that he will not step on some torn and hurt. When he will walking in the midday, while the Sun is burning over his head, she will merge in him to take the brunt of the hot Sun and keep him cool in the form of sweat.
Later when she went to meet Maham, how I wished she said that whatever Maham cursed was what had happened in reality and Maham is reaping the poisonous fruit she sow by killing Jalal's children even before they form the shape of babies. Had she not fed Ruquiayya with the Dathura and stole her motherhood for life, her son would have been alive today. Atleast now she should fear the God and pray for his soul to rest in peace so that he will not be the torn in his next birth.
