I have never seen her praise her mom, except when she gets super emotional.

She belittles her mom like anything, she gives priority to her work over everything and then puts it all on her mom. Her work is her everything and she wants to be the focus of all the business

I felt very bad for Diya yesterday.Latika is back to her old self, once again arguing with Prateik, jealous n sending her mother on a guilt trip.
Shanaya took advantage of Latika's indifference towards her daughter.

yes i agree tht latika focuses too much on work.

But wht i dont get is why does pratik always blame latika, shouldnt he also take care of diya.

I think it's like this:

Latika has always focused on her work a lot which doesn't give her much time to spend with Diya. So out of instinct and habit, Prateek just blames everything on her (since Diya is first and foremost the responsibility of the mother). I bet Prateek is blaming himself internally too, we just don't get to see it since he isn't an important character.
