This is an awesome treat indi.

I didn't know that you never wrote your thought on episode-1.

I joined blast from 19/20 episode I guess. I used to write shorter update there just to fulfill my crave for the show. And I also missed reading so many of your takes of earlier episodes.

Gonna read all of your work, when I'll be free.

Morning shows the day. It was very much anticipated on IPK's first episode that it would be a fabulous show. You said it all in this line.

in less than four minutes, the makers seem to have created an entire character with history, innate nature, current scenario, everything in place.

It was a mind blowing episode created with sheer perfeciont. Every cast were very much in their character.

What you said about Sanaya is absolutely right. I was actually her fan, since her Radha ki betiya days. RKB was my mom's favorite show and I watched some episodes with her. Sanaya did a cameo role there and I just loved her. And I was a fan of Barun since DMG. I used to watch DMG-1 and also followed some episodes of season-2. Then when he came in BHPH, I just loved him; only his look, not the character Shravan.

How cum you said, he is a flawed hero! I think he is flawless. I even love his scars below his eye brow. he is too sexy! He was my crush. when I saw the promo of IPK for the first time, I was literally in cloud-9 to see my two favorite tv actors together in a show. Since the first episode aired, I didn't miss any one and still watching it.😃

By the way thanks for mentioning the names who worked behind the camera. I only knew about Raju Singh, but nobody else. And yes IPK's music is stupendous.

thank you, sohara... i had to say all i wanted to about this stunning episode. whatever i write is not enough... there is sheer artistry here... from each and every one. see bua ji's kamariya thumkas, uff. even the pigeons were perfectly placed... such a sense of drama yet totally engaging and absorbing, a hundred flavours of human kind packed in 28 minutes.

he was your crush? aww. i had never seen dmg or rkb, i don't watch much tv, only the channels used to be on because i missed india.. so i saw him in shraddha... uff something about the boy i always thought. would watch bhph sometimes, but the story never held me. he was cute even though his grooming was patchy, good days bad days... but you know that's the thing, no matter whether he looks like asr or shravan or swayam or whoever, that thing in him... always comes through.
i saw sanaya for the first time here... i fell for her. have to say, she peaks in acting when with barun... i have watched episodes of rr randomly... she never hits that note there... i guess chemistry between co-actors is a major thing.

i love reading your long takes because i get a younger more enthusiastic perspective. and i like your stretch to find words. wish anita would write again too. hoping for some calm time to read.

oh and er, he is my crush too. 😆

Thanx for this Lovely post!! Dont hav words for it..U took me down the memory lane. IPK was, Is and will always be one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Wish i could go bck in time and re-live those moments cause the thought of never being able to see Sarun again is heartbreaking :(

I had been thinking where shall I start reading. Peeche se? Then I thought for a change let's start from the start. So, I took your flight and landed here.

An interesting review of the very first episode. A long one? Didn't feel like. Loved how you went scene by scene with your usual flow, minutely pointing out the essential details, wanting one to go back and watch the epi. The best part, ASR entry scene, a 100% score to all involved in making that scene. And you score no less, for laying that down in words.

Loved reading all your thought process about how & why you avoided the show in the first place and how you finally got sucked into it. Read it a million times before but enjoyed reading it again.

Glad you brought the stuff from the anniversary thread too. Loved loved those magical 36 bands. For me, they read like a printed vm. As I see the pictures scroll, I can hear the written words.

tum bhi na...now me blushing. thanks so much for reading the endless words and finding it all not that long. if i made you want to watch episode 1 once more, yay. i actually do think it's one of the best things i have seen on television. so well laid out, so tight, and well acted... also sexy and light yet intense and arousing. very rarely thsi happens in the very first episode of a book, play, serial, anything.

honoured you started reading from my take of the first one. in a tale of two cities there is a lovely line... when someone says he doesn't know where to commence... monsieur defarge replies, "commence... at the commencement."

every time i thought of writing one, i remembered that... it was time to commence, in the middle of it all, at the commencement... glad you started there.
