Look Who's Taking on SRK at the Box Office

Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year will not be the solo release on the Diwali weekend. The film has got competition from unexpected quarters.

Happy New Year won't go uncontested at the box office this Diwali. For two more films are lined up for release on the same day.

The first spoiler is going to be director Ketan Mehta's film Rang Rasiya, starring Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen. The film was gathering dust in cans for years, until the path was recently cleared for its release. Its release date is October 23, the day Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year will most probably hit theatres.

That's not it. More competition is coming SRK's way. Producer Ashok Thakeria too has decided to release his flick Super Nani on October 24.

Super Nani features Rekha, Sharman Joshi, Randhir Kapoor and Anupam Kher. The flick has Rekha playing feisty granny to Sharman.

Despite the competition, trade pundits feel Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year has no reason to fear as neither of the two films poses it any serious threat at the ticket windows.
