Abhishek turns down film with Vivek!

Abhishek Bachchan turns down film with Viveik Oberoi ! Posted on Friday, June 29, 2007 (EST) Apoorva Lakhia's attempts to sign up Abhishek Bachchan and Viveik Oberoi for his next film titled 'Mission to Istanbul' have come a cropper because Abhishek will have none of it.

Abhishek Bachchan(R) and Aishwarya Rai AFP Andrew Yates 29 June 2007 (Sawf News) - Apoorva Lakhia's attempts to sign up Abhishek Bachchan and Viveik Oberoi for his next film titled Mission to Istanbul have come a cropper because Abhishek will have none of it. Apoorva just cannot make a film without one of the Bachchan's being in it. So Abhishek Bachchan, a dear friend, was an automatic choice for the film that features four heroes. After two successive flops, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost (2003) and Ek Ajnabee (2005) Apoorva hit pay dirt with Shootout at Lokhandwala. He attributes the success of the film to Viveik Oberoi, whom he now considers as his lucky mascot. Consequently, Viveik too was an automatic choice for a lead role. However, Viveik and Abhishek have a history named Aishwarya. For his last film Guru Mani Ratnam wanted Viveik in the role eventually essayed by R Madhavan but failed to make any headway, despite having earlier worked with the two actors in the highly successful Yuva. Apoorva must have hoped the wounds had healed now following the Abhishek-Aiswharya wedding. When vivek refuses a film it is said because of his role and now if Abhishek does the same he is childish. What if does not like his role in it or his role is of second lead then?...why don't you give AB a chance and anyways everybody is after him after his marriage to ASh...

But i would give him the benefit of doubt...

actually, when vivek refused to play a role in Guru(Madhavan's role)... it was clearly stated in various articles that vivek rejected the role due to abhishek, as abhishek and ash were seeing each other... maybe, there were other reasons to it, but if this one reason was the real reason behind it all, then it did not seem surprising...so even for vivek this was the reason!

so if this article states that abhishek refused to do a film with vivek, we dont know if its totally true... but if it is, then how one can one not expect it... its expected..... after all, the ash scenario wasnt sumthing tiny.

I just read it in an article that Apoorva think vivek as his lucky muscot and so he ofered the lead role to him adn no when Abhi heard it he said no.

So I guess Abhi does not want to play second lead to any actor of his league same as John refused JBJ.....
