...and I hope that pride shall always remain!!!!

Ever since the leap happened and Myrah have come into the picture...I have always maintained Rudra to be exactly like Raj Aryan Malhotra from Mohabbatein...and I have written an entire post on it. To briefly sum up again...Raj Aryan Malhotra was a 1 woman man who despite the demise of his love, his Megha, lived on with her memories...smiling...and spreading that love all around as he continued to keep falling deeper and deeper in love with Megha.
Rudra from where I see him today...stands the same window...Paro healed the "Jallad" to such perfection that today he does not need anyone besides her love and her memories to live his remainder life after his Paro's demise. Today he understands the meaning of emotions...the reason why he is able to approach Myrah and apologize to her...the reason why he apologizes to the 2 women who came for marriage proposal. Today he understands the meaning of relations...the reason why backs up and cheers Myrah's first attempt at desi cooking after accepting her friendship...the reason why he reasons out with Mythalili on his stand on marriage and love as he reads Mythili's concern for him. And today he understands that love and life does not die at the death of a loved one...the very reason why he told Mythili exactly why he does not need anyone else in his heart or life and exactly why he was and shall always remain a 1 woman man.

Since there are lots of posts already on the famous dialogue of Rudra today...I am not going to repeat it here again...however I do want to touch base with the similarity of that dialogue to that of Rahul's from KKHH.
TBH...as much as hyped and jazzed up that movie was...I have always maintained Rahul's character to be quite shallow. Not because he went back on his words and fell in love again and remarried again...but for the fact that he never truly got the deeper meaning of love. His love was quite superficial as in his criteria to fall in love started from the outer beauty. Its known that Anjali and Rahul were meant to be soul mates but because Anjali never poised with a feminine touch to her...Rahul got attracted and attached to Tina for her outer beauty first. When Anjali left him...he has tears in his eyes because he couldn't understand why his heart felt that heavy yet after she left...it took him no time to marry Tina and live a happy life with her. Had Tina not passed away...Rahul in all probability would have never known that his real and true love was Anjali. And again...Rahul never really tried to search for his "best friend" or even remember her till little Anjali triggered that subconscious mind of his and when he met her again after so many years...it was that outer beauty...that feminine touch to Anjali that made Rahul realize that his soul mate was always Anjali.

Point here is that...Rudra is not a shallow or contrived character like Rahul. He never was about outer beauty. For him it was always about the soul connection. The inner beauty and the purity that Paro had in her which made him fall in such deep..intense and passionate love with her. So today when he speaks those famous dialogues mirroring Rahul's...I don't (and I truly hope makers don't make him do so either) see Rudra going back on his words. Rahul never understood his real love in Anjali till the mask of outer presentation was removed but Rudra had unveiled that mask of "khoobsurat aurat" from Paro and understood his soulmate connection with her. He loved her for who she was from deep within and today Myrah only got her first view or rather glimpse of the kind of love Rudra has enriched himself with. The kind of love that terrifies you just as it terrifies Mythili today...the kind of love that shakes your deep within cores to an extent that you feel your heart trembling at the mere mention or sight of it. A love that threatens to move all your beliefs in reality...in spirituality and in practicality. YES...such is the kind of love that Rudra has for his Paro...just as Raj Aryan Malhotra had for his Megha...love that transcends above and beyond time...life and YES...DEATH.
So Yes...what Rudra said today "Bina pyar ke koi shaadi nahi ...Aur Pyaar sirf ek baar hi hota hai" ... I see him doing exactly that...I see him being that same 1 WOMAN MAN!!!

EDIT:

Lots of people have argued that Raj Aryan Malhotra could continue living alone with Megha's memories coz he had no kid like Dhruv in his life so Rudra needs to move on for his son. I counter back and say fine...given...but then why a look alike for move on coz apart from face, Myrah will not justify anything in the relation as she will either find herself battling with Paro's ghost to make a place for her ownself in Rudra's life or trying to be the "mother" Dhruv will search in her...and that "mother" already exists in the form of Mythili who will beat any new woman any day in Rudra's life for she is the one who nurtured Dhruv from his bottled milk days.

PSS. Makers I do not intend to direct you on how to tell a story but I do request you that after giving such dialogues to your protagonist, please ensure to maintain the integrity and dignity of the same. Let Rudra be Raj Aryan Malhotra from Mohabbatein and NOT Rahul Khanna from KKHH.

From trp pov , going Aryan raj malhotra way wld be a suicide. Mohabatein movie was a flop because ppl didn't like that concept. When yash raj film cld flop with that theme then what to say abt Rangrasiya. I was working with Stardust magazine when this movie released & I know how YRS tried to mamipulate the BO in showing that the movie isn't doing as bad as it is made out to be but didn't succeed.

I want Myrah to be Paro with amnesia, and then I want to see Rudra romance her as much as he and we like.

No Paro means no more romance in Rudra's life.

Give us Paro back.

(Sorry for hijacking your post but this is all I have to say)

So u mean to say the Rudra, the guy who said "tu ...main...hamesha" to Paro...who promised on her funeral pyre that he will wait for her till his last breath...should move on for TRP purposes and that will justify his character?

As for Mohabbatein...Raj Aryan's story wasn't the main plot of the movie...there were 6 new entries in the movie and story was revolving around their love story and how Raj Aryan proved his point to Narayan Shankar. So movie failing cannot be entirely to Raj's story but other factors as well.

You have not hijacked my post darling.

Well if Myrah is Paro...then Rudra's character stays true...although I really don't know how exactly are they going to make Myrah into Paro...but ofcourse they can dramatize this angle and desi soaps have that leeway anyways...plus I guess it works for TRP audience...it works for loyal RR audience who watch it for the story from RR1...so ya...win win situation.

I hope along with you.

Usually I root for 2nd chances in love and life...but Rudra's character is not meant for that...he is the 1 woman man.
