its mtv they used to show such fresh concept of show one time example kitni mast hain zindegi.that show was truely ahead of its time but itsunami quite disheartening to see mtv adopting same damsel in distress heroin and dark hero crap
Of the two recently launched shows, 'Fannah' turned out to be so so boring that I didn't even feel like reading about it after one or two epis.
KYY looked promising and now its turning out to be a joke! CV's need to buckle up big time!
I know it sounds repetative but after the release of the 'Twilight' series, I see a STRING of shows with the SAME dark hero-innocent heroine theme doing the rounds on telly...only difference is Edward's character has been damaged and distorted and how!
If you've ever read the books, you'd know that Edward was a thorough gentleman (although, his 'watching Bella sleep' habit creeped me out, but still). He was somewhat of a masochist, filled with self-abhorrence and has NEVER manhandled Bella in any manner!
And you see character popping out everywhere, all 'inspired' by Edward Cullen but all having the same consistent trait, manhandling women, being abusive, shouting their lungs out...the list is endless 😡 .
It's high time that the CV's realize that the concept is DONE TO DEATH! And if they want to use it, make it look dignified. DON'T glorify crimes like ragging/bullying...it's too sensitive an issue which has even claimed lives of young kids!
