Back to the plan after some Khaiber distractions...😆
Guys, I know for some, teda emperor and teda plan are getting kind of annoying for some because you have to look at everything with a microscope, you wonder why things are so complicated, why you have to deal with Atifa on the screen, and why Jalal has to yell at Jodha. But, hopefully today there were clear signs that Jalal is indeed up to something.
And I think people are even more worried about Jodha's pregnancy- but this is what helped me get over it- the CVs absolutely have no consideration for the fact that Jodha is pregnant ... and this goes both ways- the way TE is executing his plan and the anger he is showing and the way Jodha was shown running around with Khaiber. Hence, let us leave the pregnancy point aside, assume Jodha has a magical pregnancy and go with the story.
And today, we saw Jalal show multiple dimensions of his personality both as a husband and as the Teda Emperor up to something. And then I have some reflections on Jodha as well.
(1) First, take care of Jodha's health. Immediately, his first concern was not telling her what she had done wrong ... what he and everyone had been through ... it was about making sure Jodha was okay.
I thought Jodha looked quite cute in her wariness of explaining to the hakim sahiba all she had been through ... and the way she looked at Jalal's clenched fist. A very husband-wife moment. 😳
When Hakim Sahiba said , it is God's miracle that everything is okay ... I couldn't only help but think it is CV's miracle. I hope Jodha takes the hakim sahiba's advice to not get involved in stressful activities. 😆
I thought Jalal showed great maturity in not talking to Jodha immediately, he was giving her some time to rest and time for his own emotions to cool down. I think he knew Jodha would come to him when she was ready.
Rashmi, the CVs must have listened to you- Munim Khan keeps having voice overs- today's was how Jodha and Jalal need to talk to each other. But, Jalal knew that, and so did Jodha. They were just waiting for the right time.
Loved how Jalal came from behind to Jodha and said "Aap mujhe dhoond rahin thi" and the way he said "Yaha nahin" ... he did not want to air this publicly. And more on his grace under fire as well.
(2a) I understand you ... but you need to understand your mistake I liked how Jalal showed how he completely understood Jodha and her good intentions but also wanted her to realize the gravity of her mistake ... to make sure she understood and learned from it.His dialogues were very well crafted ...
He first explained his view on Khaiber, why instead of killing him and he put him in a well ... and how he is not always a "bewaqoof" and why she does not believe in him
I liked instead of telling her she was wrong, he positioned it as questions ... on how could he answer to the rumors, dead soldiers, and villagers? Asking, how will you ask for forgiveness from all of them? 👏
And he was softer in his anger I believe for two reasons
- He has realized that his message and what he is trying to tell is lost in the fact that he is angry
- He is not showing off his anger the way he was to a certain spying audience in Agra
But, if you do not believe that reason ...
(2b) And the biggest hint to us and Jodha to trust in Jalal was the following dialogue "You don't have trust in me but I could never bring myself to doubt you even if I wanted to"
We will just need to learn to trust Jalal ... if there is a reason he is yelling at Jodha, behaving the way he is , there is a BIG reason for that and we just need to wait for it to unravel.
And as always, I had faith in Jalal, that he would always trust Jodha and he lived up to it.
(3) Symbolism of the sleeping with their heads in two directions
They may be looking like they are in different directions and at loggerheads ... but they are together in their love for each other.
I liked how Jalal looked over at Jodha ... I also liked how Jodha sat up to talk to Jalal ... I hope this signals a new journey, that she realizes she may have misread Jalal and she takes the first step to better understand him. Hope she continues to do the same.
(4) Grace under fire ... Jalal showed in so many ways he did not want Jodha's insult in public.
He did not let them talk outside of the tent ... he said let us go in.
And more importantly, when they walked into Agra fort and he heard the rumors about rifts between them ... I loved the way he held Jodha's hand to signal to everyone that all was indeed well.
And the way he lifted up their hands together to show the world and said that "Jodha Begum Mehfooz (safe) hai "... and thank God for her return to silence everyoneHat's off to you Jalal!👏
And he took advantage of the opportunity and held her hand right till they walked inside. He never leaves the opportunity! 😉
On Shariffudhin: Jalne khi bhoo aarahi haein ... I love how he was so upset he was sent after the dacoits. 😆
(5) A note about Jodha: Jodha will always be Jodha. Accepting her mistakes is not one of her best hunars. It is not a hunar of a lot of people- including myself. She knows she has done wrong, but she does not express it with the same depth we and gets defensive ... but, more than the way the apology is said, what is more important is her will the CVs show she has learned from her mistake in her actions. And for that, we can only wait and watch and I am hoping for the best.
You cannot expect Jodha to change in one day and be a better apologizer just as I cannot expect Jalal to change and forget his impulsive anger in one day 😆
But, there are a few things I liked with Jodha today:
- I liked how she put her head on his shoulder when she said that "I hope that Khaiber gets his share of love" just how she received her share of love in this janam with Jalal
- Her reflection in the room ... she was asking herself the right questions ... by trying to save Khaiber she did indeed lead to his death vs. he would have struggled in a well
- I liked her eagerness to talk to Jalal
- I liked how she apologized to everyone
And when she used the word "nirakshin" to describe a check-up, I laughed because the last time I heard that word was the movie " Chupke Chupke" when Dharmendar said he would do "nirakshin" of the car 😆
Special mention to Maan Sing: I loved Maan Singh's maturity to make her understand Jalal's POV before she talked to him ... what he has heard, seen, his worry, and lack of eating
The Atifa factor: Today was interesting in a few dimensions on the Atifa factor:
- Atifa's husband urgency about let's go from here in concern "bhaag nikhaale" ... should highlight something is up
- Jalal asking about Atifa to Ruqaiyya ... I think if one thing, he is worried of all these days he could not keep an eye on Atifa ... and I think he asked in public as he wanted to guage people's reactions
- He also wants to know if her husband has made any moves on the zinakari days etc., I am curious to know how he reacts when he heard about her husband visiting her as a Khwaja Shehra
-I think Atifa is made to look intentionally innocent to be a contrast to the last attack, Benezir
- The precap is hinting we are headed towards the climax of this track
BTW someone had made a guess that her husband would dress as a Kwaja Shehra to see Atifa. Bingo , you were right!
Question: What was Maham Anga distracted by when she was talking to Adham Khan? Was it Atifa playing her instrument? What is going on?
Oh and Nigaar suddenly appeared today ... mysterious. I still think Nigaar is behind this attack.
