QH1 clearly stated it was a family drama...not a love-story, even though initially they promoted the leads and the brother, trying to hoodwink the viewers into believing it was going to be a love-triangle.😕
Later, the montage started depicting all the main characters including the vamps, and that made it clear it was a family story.
I feel Ms. Gul Khan did want to show that love-triangle, but only as part of the whole family drama, not just by itself.
Unfortunately, she left it too late, dragged the story till nobody cared and then tried to beat a dead horse. It didn't work.
She is trying that out now in QH2.
But...
QH2 clearly states its the story of ARI and S, and even the montages show only the leads, and yet, since the wedding about a month back, we get to see the leads only every other day and for about 5 minutes.
She rightly cut out the uncle-aunt and the sisters because they were distracting and contributed nothing,
Now we are all hoping she will wake up and smell the roses about the all the vamps in the show, too.
But, as long as she is getting TRPs (a few points up and down don't make a difference) and all the advertising support, she is going to continue in this vein.
Ms. Gul Khan has a reputation for good love-story leads and chemistry, all right.
Unfortunately, after three shows (IPK, QH1 and QH2), one can add, 'failed love-story' to that.
She will hook the viewers, drive them to emotional highs and then deal the death blow week after week, month after month, till the viewer is so exhausted and yet clinging to the soap with a despairing desperation that only pulling the plug will help any more.
The only soap in which she delivered on the love story aspect was Geet. And IMHO, it was too much love, too little story.
It was her first soap, and the channel catered to younger viewers, so she kept that aspect up.
Not so now.
Really, we need to learn and move on and if we hear of another Ms. Gul Khan production, run the opposite way. Fast.
We are at the 4 month mark for her shows...I hear the death knell sounding.

I didn't watch Geet but I did watch IPK. Arshi was magical . IPK had its ups and downs but surprisingly other characters were good too. Ipk was my first show ever and I was hooked. Then IPK ended and I tried to watch QH thinking it's another Gul. Show. First few months was ok and then vampfest started. Too much negetivity and twisted storyline. I was never impressed. Still I understand that it was a family drama and not my cup of tea. QH2 is promoted as a love story with return of the past. But where's the love story here? On top of that side actors are given preference where leads are like cameos.Other characters are not strong as well. QH 2 is ready to take a nosedive.

I think this was a sort of base. They tried to fill in a little of the back ground info, what happened in-between, before introducing Seher.
I am okay with it honestly, Minus RaHaFa ( HOW cowardly of Faiz to not propose Haya himself? Duh! ), I think the epi served some purpose. But they need to get their act together and show the leads alongside to keep interest.

Hon, feelin' the blues...you're right...gotta pick myself up, dust off, and search for that silver lining...the darn thing's gotta be somewhere...

So, positivity...hmmm...
The understanding between ARI and S is progressing well...I just want her to show a bit more concern from her side, too, that's all...but the progress is there and its a treat to watch.
After she falls off the bed, will he, that night or the next, insist on holding her?
For her own protection, of course.😉😆

Will she agree to a hand hold?
Will he, by morning, have taken a mile for that inch given, and draped himself all over her?😃
Mind swirls with delicious possibilities.
