You are right. Tis so very depressing for us normal beings who just wanna lead a normal life by loving others irrespective of their regional, religious, cultural, and language leanings.

Thanks Subhagya. I am not talking about unification and reunification. What I am saying is there should be resistance to partition of a nation. Leaders should have the audacity and will to generate brotherhood amongst the masses. If a nation is split into two it only leads to more bitterness. Even Abraham Lincoln preferred to have a civil war rather than see his country splitting into two.
He fought the forces who could have divided his country. I strongly feel tis a myth that the separatism could lead to a friendlier ambience in the region. It only creates more enemies.

I reckon that, and agree with those thoughts, but it is not how people think anymore. Even states SPLIT.. How do we expect any better from a bigger piece of land? Due to selfish, non toletart and stubborn attitude, this thinking has become utopic. Nation is made by its people and if they don't wish to stay united, no one can force them to.

But atleast these states are not gunning for each other. The ppl do not wanna kill each other. They are governed by a central body. Country stays as united. The bitterness can end after sometime. If there are any minor differences pertaining to our way of living it should not come in the way of our unity. Leaders should help masses bond irrespective of their religious,cultural or lingual leanings and not foment trouble by exploiting these differences. I reiterate that ppl wanna stay together.

IMO, It would be better for the leaders to remain friendly yet independent. If they are separate entities, there is a reason for that. "Unity in diversity" looks spectacular on the unified nation's CV.. but we know the underlying truth.
I Think separated is fine, yet I agree that they should come together to eliminate hatred if any, instead of feeding it
