Entertainment will have to follow the Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty route to emerge a success as the film is unlikely to have a big opening. Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty stated slowly but picked up well on day one to record decent first day figures and the film got stronger over Saturday and Sunday.

It will be about good word of mouth that can get Entertainment to a decent weekend. It may record a better opening in mass centres as it is a commercial entertainer and Akshay Kumar is a mass star.


Its been a long time since films centred on animals did well. Some in the past have done phenomenally well like Haathi Mera Saathi, Nagin and Nagina but the audience is totally different today. A plus for these films was that they had a ready market in the East at the time which contributed 20% to the all India business but today East hardly contributes hardly 10% and that too for the big budget blockbusters.

Entertainment is also important to the comedy genre which was probably the safest genre a few years back but recently has just one major hit (Grand Masti) in the last 18 months.
