The side effects like that shown in the serial, to a much non filmy, less exaggerated level can occur with ketamine which is a general an anesthetic agent.
General anesthesia is given in an operation theater setup and with a mask to your face and intravenous drips attached to your body.
It is not something done lying an a regular ward bed.

And it can be given to children with dislocations , when the dislocation has to be fixed and the child is too small to understand and cooperate and cannot take local anesthesia while he cries incessantly.

In the serial of course, there was no need of a general anesthetic as she is an aware cooperating adult.
And the procedure done on her was external.
The bone was fixed by external manipulation without any incision given to the skin.
That is why she wasn't in an operation theater because only a local anesthetic agent was given.
Hence she should have been conscious with just numbness in her arm and no other influence .

Whereas she is shown to be unconscious as she she was sedated, which makes no sense .
If she was sedated she should have been in an operation theater .
Again an error.
And if she wasn't given general anesthesia she shouldn't have any of the psychiatric effects.

And people do hallucinate.
They shout and yell , but singing songs is something else altogether .
