To discredit SRK's success on the basis that Yash Raj and YRF supported him and made him "The SRK" is sad, to be honest. His initial movies were with other producers/production houses. Luckily for him, those initial successes earned him a place in Yash Raj and YRF - not the other way around.

Also, Jackie Shroff is another outsider who came and conquered BW. Does Amitabh Bachan or Dilip Kumar count, were they outsiders too? (only mentioning the most popular and still known names) I only know about a few actors background who started from 90s onwards and only came across them 2000s onwards.

@ blue...it is sad that people try to just undermine someone's hard work and that also in an cut throat industry like BW...where its hard to survive as it is ...more so an outsider...and why would these big producers and production houses put their money on someone undeserving...if support could make one a star then AB Jr would be the biggest superstar right now...😛...The fact is whether a star kid or an outsider ...its the public who makes them the stars...no one else...star kids have it much easier and get more chances but ultimately even they have to depend on the public's verdict.

When SRK came to Mumbai in 1991, his mother had just dies. He was lost and confused, with his mother dead, girlfriend's family objecting to relationship and no money. Just because of the talent he showcased in Fauji and Circus, he got minor roles in a few movies. After only 4-5 yrs only he got big banners... I really respect him for his struggle and hard work... He had faced really bad times with death of both parents and financial issues. He overcame all of that... and despite being not so good looking he managed to become the Badshaah of Bollywood! I have so much respect for SRK 👏

As for Akki, I dont know much of his history, but I think he was a waitor in some foreign country...and once he did some stunts for a moie being shot in the city and thereby came to Bollywood. He has done his own share of struggle with some flop some hit movies. Nonetheless, he has really made a mark in the Bollywood😳
