O.M.G yes, i have been there -- was quite young but i have not forgotten that unexplainable feeling -- they call it bhulok vaikunth for a reason. The idol was of Vishnu, and still it is called a Krishna temple.It is believed that the idol was worshipped by Devaki and Vasudeva and by extension, Kanha.It had given me such a thrill.
You can say Vishnu, to me and many many bhakts He is Sri Krishna. If Krishna had postal address it would be Guruvayur. They call Him Guruvayurappa. You can find bhakts chanting Narayaneeyam or Srimad Bhagavatam, it's a different ambience
