E/NE II3....BOYS

Out of the six boys in the GALA, 5 are from East/ North East India (Prashant, Emon, Chang, Abhishek & Amit). Parleen is the only exception. Therefore II3 (BOYS) is mainly reduced to a regional contest. Cud it be becoz of skewed selection of 28 finalists by Judges? One can't believe that rest of India doesn't have so much talent.

Isn't Abhishek from Bangalore though?

from south-------- the contestants r not coming coz they know very wel that votes r not coming from south as south r not interested in hindi channel n they will not be able to get votes even after their mindblowing performance. KARUNNYA,HEMU,IRFAAN R THE EXAMPLES.I think abhishek wil face the same problem.

Abhishek is only studying in Bagalore. He is from Dhanbad. In fact there are quite a few contestants from Dhanbad.

And there is no one from Delhi & Mumbai. II is becoming more of a regional contest. South one can understand but rest of india is not evenly represented atleast as far as the boys are concerned.

Does it also reflect on the lower popularity of II vs other similar programs?

Amongst girls also, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Delhi draw a blank but at least the representation is better than in case of Boys

No issues there...entirely agree with you.

Was just wondering it would have been more fun and more flavors if boys from other regions were also there. Another point, bulk of voting and viewership is,perhaps, also linked on the geographical representation of contestants. This can go against the commercial interest of the channel
