This was too much, Sanam ran to her room, flung herself on the bed and started to cry bitterly.
Tanveer then called Khala and gives her a tablet which she specifically instructs to mix in Ahil' drink before bed time.
It is similar to Viagra but very potent creating sexual drive.
" Ahil beta, " tanu calls Ahil and explains to him the need to consummate their marriage.
With a heavy and painful voice, " ji Ami"
Ahil did not see Sanam at dinner, he reckoned she was upset and let her be. After dinner, Khala gave him a glass of juice with the tablets mixed in. Afterwards Ahil moved towards the bar and opened up a bottle of the strongest alcohol content available.
Meanwhile Sanam felt extremely uncomfortable in a night gown which Lateef had brought in from Tanveer.
She was sobbing remembering Ahil's rendezvous with the woman in Punjab and was cursing her fate that she was associated with a person of such low character, she recalled him kiss another woman in a restaurant, and smiled sadly.
" I have reduced myself to nothing but a prostitute who has sold her self for money, my parents will be so proud of me," she added sarcastically.
Then a fear crept, Haye Allah! She exclaimed out loud, I might end up with HIV, oh that dirty man...
And another realization, " am I supposed to kill the baby inside of me? And this time a very sad cry escaped Sanam's lips., how could any woman or mother want this, only for some inheritance... How can a woman give life and mercilessly take it, at this point a doubt arose against Tanveer, is she really what she looks like or is there a dark secret...
Consumed with such thoughts, she did not feel like eating anything, used up nearly a box of tissues and lay on the bed waiting for her fate to unfold.
Waiting to be burnt waiting to be used, abused and discarded as refuse.
Underneath the black gown was a nude colored nightie, which reached the thighs, it felt like it wasn't there, and it certainly looked that way too. She dimmed the lights in the room, as she was too ashamed to see her own self in such a shameless condition.
Suddenly the door flew open and in swayed Ahil, not able to walk straight, but determined to reach the bed, the stench of alcohol was unbearable for Sanam and she turned her face away,
somehow, Ahil reached the bed, crawled towards Sanam, smiled wickedly and forced Sanam to face him.
" love u.." Ahil muttered
Sanam looked up into his eyes in shock and a little flicker of hope.
" love you so much, missed you Monica" said Ahil as he cupped Sanams face.
Sanam was distraught, Ahil was about to make love to Monica and this made her feel so sick...
This was the most important moment in her life and her so called husband will have absolutely no recollection of it.
