Maithili is the real parent here. Dont mistake me. Rudra loves his son. His Paro's legacy..her last wish and the promise he made to her,he has to fulfil it no matter what but ..there is a big but here, a big part of him died with his paro. Druv is the only reason MAJOR RUDRA PRATAP RANAWAT is still with us tday. For a guy who has to be both mother and father to the boy, he is still clueless abt his son. He doesnt know what his son wants for his bday. It was MAITHILI's idea to gift Dhruv the jacket. And tday.. Maithili teaches him the way to wake dhruv up. Clueless dad again. Look at the way he shuts himself instantly when druv mentions abt his mommy. Oh, yes he talked abt paro to dhruv ( rose garden scene) but thats because he wants him to remember his mother's wish. It was maithili again who described paro to druv and koel not Rudra. Rudra has shut himslf after paro's death and i dont think even druv has the keys to unlock or reach his father. His is on 'automaton.' Breathing but not living.
Its sad...it hurts when a young boy of seven has to watch out for every word he spoke becz it would hurt his father. It hurts for he has already lost his mother and in a way lost his father too. It hurts to see a man who,finally found his happiness at the age of 28 and to have the same happiness snatched away from him . It hurts when a woman was robbed her chance to live and see her boy grow into man with her ever loving husband beside her.
A boy missing..yearning for his mother...a man lost in grief..a woman lost...
Cant talk anything abt myra..failed to connect with her. #ineedtime to accept that #suchislife.
