Manoje Biddvai clears the air about his fallout with Ekta Kapoor.
Things were going great for actor Manoje Biddvai, and then suddenly they changed. He was told that he was not a part of Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi anymore. Some reports talked about Manoje alleging that it was done because there was some problem with his kundali!
"Looking back, I find it so funny. I never ever issued such a statement! It was blown out of proportion," he clarifies. Manoje says that was he aware that his track in Kasautii... was a short one anyway. "In Kasautii... my character Abir's track was turning out to be negative and the production house and channel felt that my face did not suit a negative character. But Kyunkii... was my loss," he adds. Manoje never got a chance to clear the air with Ekta Kapoor after that. "I think the whole issue got blown up and left a mark on the situation," he adds. Given a chance, Manoje says that he would love to work with Ekta again.
He might not be seen in any of the K serials but Manoje seems to have done fairly well for himself in the past couple of months. "I'm doing Doli Saja Ke and I've just made an entry in Meri Aawaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni as a wealthy yet simple guy who's totally in love with his girlfriend ," he says. Also, his film Rivaaz is all set to be screened at an international film festival and he's quite excited about it.
"It's set in a village in the interiors of the country where the girls in the village are pimped by their own family members ," he says. Manoje is also playing a gay character in a Hinglish film called The Other Side. "It's a simple and refreshing tale about a guy who's not sure about his sexuality . The role had a lot of scope for an actor and I jumped at the opportunity," he adds. With his recent marriage to actress Ravee Gupta, lady luck sure seems to have smiled on Manoje!
