Yes it is! He instigates the war, but it actually happens because the Kauravas gained strength from these three maharathis. Without them what were Duryodhan and his brothers? Clearly Krishna wanted to wipe these adharmis from the face of the planet, it's an open secret, just like the Kauravas wanted the Pandavas dead. And Krishna was smart. He was a brother to both Arjuna and Duryodhana and since both of them come for his help the arrangement is made. All you can see is how Krishna could have been wrong. I wonder how easy it is to unsee Duryodhan's arrogance and his guts to even ask Krishna for help even though he knew he sided with the Pandavas!
