Meher stared as the sun set. Sitting in the tower always brought her some sort of peace, no matter how long it took to convince the army officer to let her up here, it was all worth it. The beauty of the sunset captured her soul and took her to a place, shes never been before, a place full of peace and happiness. She watched as the color orange increased its intensity in the sky.
She watched the as the sun finally started to sink deeper towards the ground, its beautiful light making grains and soil of the other nation seemingly more beautiful. , it was such a sad thing to watch. The day had come to an end, but no matter how good or in her case how bitter it was, she couldnt help but to feel sad. Life was definitely a race, you would fall behind before you could even catch up with what fate brings down upon you.
The drowining sun was so similar to her life, just like her heart which was drowned deep beneath a surface, filled with darkness.
Her eyes that seemed so full, remained hollow. The wind blew to her face, but unlike before, she didnt welcome it this time. She simply looked away to avoid its dust particles.
She leaned against the barriacade as she watched the sun drown amidst the grains and the soil of another nation.
Like she had, but in her case, she had drowned her heart amidst all the love and comfort for the man whose nation wanted him back.
She had fallen deeply in love with that man, no matter how much she tried to deny it, her body always responded to his touch, her brain always responded to his banter, but no matter how hard she tried her heart could never reply to his hatred. Yup, he hated her, more like resented her. After all she was a conflict between his mission. She was just another girl-on-mission for him.
She wondered how many girls he may have played like this with, or was she the only one. Her heart soared with that assumption.
She hadnt even realize it as her life turned into such a huge mess. How had life become so complicated?
She couldnt give in, not to an imposter. But she knew her heart had given in. She was confused, wondering who did she love? Her Sameer who was dead, or Iqbal who she had presumed to be Sameer. At the end of the day, it was always Sameer, so why didnt she feel hatred for the man back home, if he wasnt her Sameer. Why? Did she love him, or did her heart still think he was her Sameer?
A sigh escaped her mouth, as she felt the presence of the same man. The man who told her the most horryfing truth of he life just a few hours ago.
The man who loved her. She wondered why she never fell for him. He loved her, why couldnt she bring herself to love him. She felt him come close and stand by her side, staring at the sky along with her. Why? Why couldnt she love this man? Why?
With that thought, her mind drifted her to the memories of the man who gave her betrayal. Sam..Iqbal.
Hey lovies, sorry for the disturabance caused by the mix up. This is a newly edited version, while some lines sound familiar, i advise you to reread it as it makes far more sense and you get a new perspective of the character, and you actually know whats going on and how the chapters are related to eachother, as in the previous ones i jumped from one point of view to another without even explaining what actually happened and what was actually going on. Thank you so much for y'alls patience. Love you guys, and thanks for reading.
