Q.Do you have a Lady Singham in your own life?
A. My mother is my Lady Singham. I can't even explain what my mother means to me. I would worship the ground she walks on. She is my oxygen mask. She has protected her two girls, Karisma and me, with kid gloves from the time we were born till today. Even if I fight or argue with her, she doesn't say anything and will bear it. If someone says or writes anything about Karisma or me, it's like somebody has put a dagger in her heart. She has been a single mother and has given her entire life to her children. Now we are doing our own things, so looking at us now she feels that a woman needs to strike the right balance between her work and family. She gave up working the day Karisma was born. In her life, everything is about Lolo and me. I walk with my head high only because I know that my mother's hand is there on me. Without her, I would not have had the strength to go through all my ups and downs and successes and failures. Karisma and my mother are like my left and right hands. Saif always says that the mother and the two daughters are like the Holy Trinity. If he spots something in my expression and sees me not having lunch, he will ask, 'Have you had a fight with your mom?' My mother and I respect each other's decisions and choices, but are also very strong-headed people, so I fight with her quite a lot. For me, she is the best mother any child can have.
