First of all the topic is not what the heading of thread suggests but what the first post suggests as I have pointed and its completely unambiguous what is written.....

A debate is just having a discussion on different point of views on something then it can be a statement, assumption, data, action anything for that matter.....

Here u may not debate on assumption as to whether there were faults or not.... but u can discussion usage of wording, morality, cultural values, etc😉
