Having just watched the warp speed episode, I'm sitting here unable to fathom where the story we were promised disappeared to.
A lot of us watching this show were viewers of another Sanaya show (which was supposed to have been an intense and complex love story) and the fact that RR had a similar base premise was a big pull for a good majority of the viewing population. That, and the fact that this show had talent like SI in it to bring a nuanced character to life on screen.

For me the show has always been about the lead pair, two multifaceted characters, and their journey to recognizing their flaws and growing and evolving together in a way that would entwine them forever. Okay, yes, I sound like I have my head stuck in the clouds, but we were sold a story of soulmates.

The point is, it was supposed to be about the journey, and for me, having stuck with another show with Sanaya in it which came to an abrupt end, I was looking forward, this time, to every aspect of that journey. Including the growth of the characters through parenthood.

And what did we get? Twelve minutes of pregnancy to birth. No time to experience any of the associated joys, fears, discoveries that parenthood brings. No time to savor the added closeness a couple feels while going through this experience. No space for the actors to use their excellent acting skills to bring this experience to life.

I feel cheated. Like I'd been promised a present I'd been eagerly waiting for, only to find it had been broken in the mail.

I was willing to give this new track a chance, much as I object to the idea of the abrupt and unnecessary killing off of the heart of the show. I was still willing to reserve judgment.. But after seeing the shoddy work they've put into winding up Rudra and Paro's story, I have no hope for what's coming next. I have a bad feeling that they have not put any thought into this new character, and they will fall back on bubblegum cliches of western brought up Indian girls and completely lose whatever semblance of a story they still have left.

The whole episode was so rushed, they didn't even give us a second to take anything in.. It's like they're out to sabotage their own show..

It's funny...I just posted something quite similar to your post...I totally agree with you...It was so rushed. They could have extended it for a couple of days, showing the pregnancy part and Rudra being overprotective of Paro and taking her to the doc and making her eat and so on. What was the need to rush it? That makes absolute no sense.

Exactly! Neither of the leads are going anywhere. There's been no drastic change in TRPs. Nothing to justify this abrupt change of track. The writers and CVs don't have a clue what they're doing..

I have no idea what they are trying to prove. It is sad that they totally butchered this show. They could not even wait and show the child a little older and how the parents argue about how to deal with him and waking up during nights to feed etc. So Sad...When the new track starts I am going to watch it Rudra as a new character, not Paro's Rudra. I don't think I can see Rudra with someone else even if she is Paro's lookalike.

We may as well be watching a whole different show. And after the intensity of feeling they developed between Rudra and Paro, how on earth do they think they're going to make Rudra Myrah the slightest bit believable? Idiots!

They did not even have a child naming ceremony...How fast is that? We found out the child's name when Paro mentioned to Rudra but nothing more than that and why was Paro delivering at home and Shatabdi taken to the hospital? Makes no sense...

Atleast in the other shows they kill both characters and start again with same characters in new avatar like Madhubala and Qubool Hai or in the case of Qubool Hai, a new male lead...I could have even accepted if both had died...and then reborn again 20 years later Dhruv Ranawat and Myrah, so Dhruv being Rudra's son and Myrah is his love interest and a new story...That too I would have accepted, would have taken time but still would have been better.

They've left a lot of questions in my mind.. Why the rush? Why did Sumer Shatabdi's kid have to be born? Where are they taking this? If I was being optimistic I might think they had a plan.. But right now I feel like that's too much to expect..
