Yeah, exactly. After spending six month feeding us the line that this couple is made for each other and no one else, drawing parallels with deities and mythological stories, all of a sudden they expect us to swallow Rudra falling for someone else? That too, someone who could t be more different from Paro?

I feel like they just shoved all these ridiculous twists and turns down our throat in a week and expect us to be ok or thrilled about it! However I do love the beautiful moments we got out of it, and I'll always cherish them! But tbh it was more like a "hey, we're doing you all a favour by giving you these scenes, appreciate it"...It just feels like salt to our wounds now.
Like eff that...I am NOT thrilled and tbh I think this whole leap, Myrah and Rudra whatever is going to backfire! They're so sure it's going to work and the audience will just or should just accept this change at the snap of their fingers...but seriously from past experiences leaps just never work, it literally just means that a show was going downhill and this was the only option! And now they're banking on Sanish's fine acting and incredible chemistry to keep audiences watching...and tbh that's the only reason why the majority are sticking around, but our hearts are not really in it anymore. We left that behind with Paro's death (even though it's yet to air).

Like you said...we were promised an ETERNAL love story, why the divine parallels then, why the cop out for trps, they're taking an incredible risk...and I hate to say it but I don't know how long this shows going to last, and it sucks because the actors don't deserve it and neither do the other people who casually work behind the scenes and on the sets!

This has just became a game of trps...for me this show ended with the beautiful couple and their little baby! What's coming up next isn't Rangrasiya anymore, it's just another show like any other, one that's going to go against it's own promised storyline and it's own characterizations. I'll probably stick around for Sanish, even though I'm not a trp audience, but Rangrasiya died for me along with Paro.

I'll give Myrah a chance, but at this point I don't really care tbh, because to me Paro was the FL of this show and she'll always be...dead or alive! And Parud will forever be the eternal love story of this show...even if it was short lived. When people think of Rangrasiya, it'll always be Rudra and Paro that come to mind...because they were the very foundation of RR!

Sorry for the rant! It's been a emotional day/week! And please ignore the errors!

So I just had to come out of lurkdom here to just say how much I agree with your post.
I was talking to my mom earlier and I was like, why do I even bother with these shows? They built this beautiful love story, it was supposed to be about PARO and Rudra's journey. Okay current storylines aren't drawing in the audience (let's not even get started on how the lack of promotion of this show contributes to this - one of the main leads is a contestant on a popular reality show for crying out loud - use that, throw out a promo every now and then sheesh!)... anyways.. so current storylines aren't drawing in audience so obviously the logical next step is to just kill one half of the heart of the show and start again. No, not okay!

Fair enough that this new character is going to be played by the same actress, but that's not enough for me. I was invested in watching the story of Rudra and Paro - a story they did so well with but obviously couldn't care less about anymore cause it wasn't even given a proper conclusion it deserved. I agree with you, what was the need to rush through all of that?! Why did I even bother watching this show. I find it very hard to believe that this was the only choice they had. I was even looking forward to more shennaigans between Sumer and his wife.

I honestly should've learned my lesson with the "wonderful" - note the sarcasm here - job that was done with another show I used to love by the same PH. I even told myself I wasn't going to get sucked into this show when I first started seeing the promos for it but sucked in I got and boy do I regret it now.

We may as well be watching a whole different show. And after the intensity of feeling they developed between Rudra and Paro, how on earth do they think they're going to make Rudra Myrah the slightest bit believable? Idiots!

👏 👏 👏
My sentiments EXACTLY!!! So much more to say on this even but I need to sleep.

Love what you said, that's what is exactly in my mind.

This is not the first time this has happened. They have been rushing tracks since day one and right now, honestly I have lost all hopes for the story making it to where it should and could have been.

- At first they wrapped up Tejawat track so they could focus on PaRud love story.

- Then they wrapped up love story in few days so they could focus on Laila's story.

- That was wrapped up again alil too soon, because they wanted to focus on Mala's story.

- Mala's story lasted only a month when they decided they needed to focus on Shantanu's story.

- And now Shantanu track is being wrapped up in half a month's time, because now they wanna focus on new leap and after leap story (heavily compromising with PaRud SR, and pregnancy track in the process)

I mean, what is all this? Is this some way to tell a story? Looks more like a trial and error method being performed by a mad scientist, who is hell bent to get the desired results, and for him nothing else matters.

Call me negative but I am pretty sure this is going to take them nowhere. Absolutely no where. There were so many nice tracks, nothing worked only because of the way they went about them, rushing it at their own convenience. Every story needs a proper build up, and viewers need time to get attached to a story. Unless they can get THIS in their stupid minds, nothing's gonna work, no matter how hard they try.

I just feel bad for the actors. They will never complain, I know, they are too dedicated to their jobs. But from my side, I feel they don't deserve this. Infact, they are brilliant people, and they deserve much much better.

"I have a bad feeling that they have not put any thought into this new character, and they will fall back on bubblegum cliches of western brought up Indian girls and completely lose whatever semblance of a story they still have left"

I absolutely agree. Paro was unique, even though she was not treated by the CVs the way she should have, she still made a place in our hearts in her own small ways. Even without a proper storyline to justify her actions, she did pretty good.

But this Myrah, she's gonna be cliched, with no uniqueness about her. She is dependent on the story too much for her to be able to touch our hearts. I know I'm too soon to judge but that is what I feel now. And in such a case, if they are not able to play out the story well (which I'm very doubtful of), it could be disastrous.

And then we get today's spoilers - Rudra leaving BSD, which was pretty much his identity for the better part of his life, and becoming a business tycoon, security company owner, whatever.. What the hell? They should have just ended the show and started a new one - there is no link (logical or otherwise) between the story till now and this new track, forget about the fact that one half of the equation has been removed and replaced, the other half has had his identity transformed.. The writers must be on crack, seriously!
