Hello Dolls! Hope you're doing well!
Now, I'm more of an FB person myself, tweeting is often impossible for me because of the character limit; hence why I often discover the twitter wars and comments made by CVs of the show via IF (Thank you IF!) now, coming on point in regards to some of the #suchislife comments from the Creatives I think this deserves a little letter of love:Dear Mukta et al:
You don't live in a post neo-liberal society. Last I checked it's still very consumption and consumer based. Supply and demand. That's what drives most economies and most business- large or small.
There are two points that people teach in business 101 that most kids learn before they hit 13:
i. The Customer is always right
ii. Listen to the customer.
Believe it or not- this may be a difficult concept to grasp- you're part of the customer service industry. Yes, I understand penning sub par plots and butchering a genius concept may take up a lot of time and energy to understand this but when it comes to TV shows- it only works if you build up a loyal audience and give them what they want so they'll keep watching.
I do respect the fact that a stronger base is required to get more TRPs, but trust me when I say I don't need a PhD to tell you your nonchalant "watch if you want other wise GTFO" attitude is not winning you any fans. It's not about watching if you want, and the rate you guys are killing this story line you won't even be able to PAY people to watch. Such is life I guess, when there's little to no sense involved in the writing or people writing. Opps. Was that harsh? Well, such is life.
You're messing with the wrong demographic. Why? You're alienating basically 100% of the fans that you DO have in the hopes of getting random auntiji's to watch and make the TRPs rise. LOL good luck with that princesses. You're a little too late to join that bandwagon and in an attempt to do so you just might sink faster than the titanic.
Such is life, I guess.
Have you ever met a person who has the BEST ingredients and still manages to eff up the final product? No? Really? Just look in the goddamn mirror and you'll see a group of people that have a rediculously attractive pair of Leads (Sanaya and Ashish), a crazy good villain (Ananya) and an initial story line that can put most other shows to shame. And you STILL managed to fumble that harder than a drunk comedian. Good Job! Want a cookie?
Your nonchalant, tl;dr, don't give a damn is not only unprofessional it's flat out STUPID. Yes, it's the exact attidude that will make you not only lose fans but not garner new ones becuase if that's how you approach the story line: What do you think the quality would be?
You're not big enough to even THINK like that. You think you're bloody Ekta Kapoor or Vikas Gupta? You're not. You're still making your way and when you all can manage to sustain a great story line for more than a 150 episodes (which you've not. LOL there are FF writers here who could have sustained it longer) THEN you can talk. THEN you can have a bit of a high and mighty attitude.
Until then, keep working at it princess et al because you've failed to impress and I'm pretty sure it's a sign of things to come from your future work.
Signed,
TV Fans who know their sh*t and don't tolerate subpar writing and CVs.
