Recently Smriti Irani was shooting a morcha scene for her serial, Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan, when an ardent admirer of hers, a stuntman who was part of the crowd in the morcha, got carried away by the fact that he was so close to his favourite star.

It was a protest scene where Uma (Smriti Irani) protests against social injustice. For the scene they had to hire a lot of extras for the crowd. Also there were policemen brandishing lathis around.

The stuntman in question went berserk suddenly, hitting Smriti on her neck and head twice, in the course of his vigorous 'acting'. Of course, he remained clueless about it all along. When he realised the impact of his action he rushed to apologise to the actress.

Says Smriti, "As it was a protest scene with proper lathi charge, we had to hire a lot of people. It was an important scene and not possible to shoot it in one take, so to get the nuances of the scene right we had to take two three takes. But that particular guy, I guess, was carried away by the scene. He hit me on my neck once. The first time I let it go. Next, he hit me on my head."

The impact was not too severe, so Smriti did not stop the shooting. "There was a little discomfort definitely but stopping the scene would have diluted the effect. I wanted the scene to look good, so I did not stop it," she says.

What about the man in question? "Poor man, he actually did not realise it at first. When he realised it after the shoot, he was literally pleading with me and apologising. But I hold no grudge against him. It's a part of our business and we have to move on in life!" Smriti says.

OMG! Poor girl!!! But Smriti is really diplomatic. She just forgives & forgets. That's so nice of her.
