And those of you who say Amit is a better singer, I disagree. Amit is a better performer for sure, has more x-factor but Padmanav so far has taken some REALLY hard songs. Evne Mitwa is really hard to sing, for that matter, any Rahman song is hard as there are many layers of song. In SRGMP Challenge2005, Ismail Durbar gave Hemachandra Mitwa and Subhash Ghai said that it was a very hard song because of the intonations etc.

Vande Mataram is known as a hard song, again Hemachandra sang in in Challenge and all the judges and Priyanka Chopra admitted the variation of notes.

Mann Ki Lagan, is hard. PERIOD.

Amit is a good singer but haven't heard him sing a really hard song yet. Hard to say !

I think both of them should be brought back because it would be unfair for someone whoz sung so flawless to be not chosen and the other one is good in himself ..

If the decision is based on the overall performances, its hard to say. Amit has sung consistently well from the start whereas Padmanav has shocked most of us with his mann ki lagan and maa tujhe salaam renditions.
I wouldn't ignore Ankita at this point either. If picked, she is a sure threat to the other contestants. She's the best performer (from all WC and Gala contestants) and in the WC round, proved she could sing. I've liked her two WC renditions, don't know about others.

I wish all three could come back...

Yes Padmanav has attempted some difficult songs. And he's done justice to them. 👏 Even Suhit has attempted some tough songs (to some extent), though we know the outcome of that.

What is considered difficult? ARR, semi-classical/classical, oldies?
For some singers, an item number or a light song can be a challenge. I guess it depends on the singer. 😕

So far I liked Amit's song selection...Roop kumar Rathod's Khamosh raat (music by ARR), RD Burmanda's Dil lena, James Bheegi and Chal Chale etc. 😊 He's picked a variety of songs.

Amit doesn't have any formal classical training so I don't know if I can pull a tough classical song. Then again, I don't know if many of the guys in the top 10 could.

Oh Dil Se, would love to hear that from Padmanav or Emon.
I love all the songs from Dil Se. 😳 They should have an ARR special this season but not towards the end of the season like last year.

I completely agree with you on this - I donn think any of the contenstants this time can pull off a classical number as amey and karunya did last time - I am not sure if Richa and Smita can pull of something similar - but definitely there will be a clasiical round when they reach top 4-5

Going by judges reactions to Padmanav's rendering of the last two songs, I think Padmanav will be saved by the judges even if he is not voted top.

Javed Ji commented after amit forgot the lyrics something like "Mujhe nahi lagta ab judges aapko bacha payennge, ab sirf public hi apko bacha sakte hain". If Amit is not getting the votes he might be out.

I wish to hear some songs sung by SD Burman rendered by Padmanav if he survives to the galas.

yes padmanav is a very talented singer but if i am not wrong arent the results of the wild card out that amit and anki are save . waisay he deserves to be in the top13
